My cynicism too. What is also apparent with every project #LeedsCityClowncil is in charge of takes way too long to complete. They're saying it will take 15 months to complete, my bet is it will probably be more like 24 months but we'll see.

...is a complete joke right now and it's getting worse by the year. The main bottleneck close to the airport, the A6120 that could have been easily duelled is now becoming a new cycle lane. #LeedsCityClowncil is literally cutting off North West Leeds from the rest of the city and the motorway...

How utterly ridiculous if that is true. The road was built to allow for one side of the carriageway / tunnel to be closed for whatever reason. It is even written in the old LBA Handbook if anyone has a copy handy. #LeedsCityClowncil

The irony as they have chopped down hundreds of trees to build that new cycle lane that nobody will use. What they should be doing is duelling that stretch of road and building a dedicated footpath over the canel and river. #LeedsCityClowncil
