Where have the zillions of posts from the Jet2 thread gone?

I'm really sorry but I'm afraid I hard deleted it by accident trying to trim the thread. Note to self, "don't use mobile phone to do major alterations!"

Bigman's tin had at the ready...

(Repeat of) G-CELI update

The 'Manchester' billboard titles have been removed from Lima India sometime during her current visit to the Jet2 maintenance facility at Multiflight. The aircraft appeared in daylight a couple of days ago during transfer from the west half to the east half of the hangar, and the fuselage looked very different from past sightings.

What's with the decent Jet2's all of a sudden? Older stuff for ages and suddenly we get JZHO yesterday and JZHN has just gone out to Faro.

Surely there are historic backups that you could restore them from??

The only problem with that is to restore to an older time will remove more important newer posts. All I can do is appologies profusely. On the upside if there is one, It's probably created a decent amount of disc space.

LBA base looks to be short of aircraft hence the doubling up off some routes to be operated by 2 aircraft instead of 1
B738's, G-JZHN & O were positioned in from MAN yesterday. They also leased Titan Airways B733, G-ZAPW to operate a flight on Saturday evening

Jet2 set to launch new recruitment drive to fill 1,700 jobs across the UK
Jet2.com, the Yorkshire-headquartered airline, has announced a new recruitment drive to fill over 1,700 pilot, cabin crew and ground operations roles.

The announcement comes on the back of a recruitment drive for this summer, which included flights from new bases at Birmingham and London Stansted.

This expansion is set to continue in Summer 2018, with the company having 9.8 million seats on sale (a 13% capacity rise). This increase has, therefore, created new roles for pilots, cabin crew and ground operations staff.

300 of the new roles will be filled at Leeds Bradford Airport, where Jet2.com is based. To support this, the airline is hosting a recruitment roadshow at Mercure Leeds Parkway on Friday 1st September.

This biggest ever summer programme includes over 1.6 million seats to 46 destinations from Leeds Bradford Airport.

The roadshow will offer the chance to meet members of theJet2.com team, receive advice and information about the various roles on offer.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “It has been an exciting year for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, and we are delighted to be creating so many opportunities to join our award-winning team at Leeds Bradford Airport.

“If you care passionately about looking after customers, we would love to see you at one of our upcoming roadshows and we look forward to welcoming you on board.”

Jet2.com, the third largest registered airline in the UK, needs to recruit more pilots as its fleet is set to be bolstered by 34 brand new Boeing 737-800NG aircrafts which are being delivered between 2016 and 2019.

The ground operations team will be responsible for ensuring that flights depart safely and on time. Cabin crew members will be expected to deliver a consistently safe and VIP service to customers, while working closely with the captain and the rest of the crew.

I don't know is if this 300 figure for Leeds/Bradford Airport also includes extra staff been recruited at its Leeds City Centre Headquarters or at the Flight & Cabin crew training centre in Bradford as well. So the could possibly be more Jobs for the Yorkshire region!

Looks like G-CELK has gone poorly in MJV. Just waiting to see what the recovery plan is - no apparent rescue flight positioned out as yet. A new ED of 22:10 local was placed on it but no movement yet.

Fixed - eta 00:28

Any updates on G-CELI? Last flight was on the 8th Aug from FRA back to LBA. Is she still here?
