Nothing publicly available. The CAA publishes the monthly and annual route stats which so far as BRS-HAM is concerned are solely flybmi's figures. I don't know how much the route is used by Imperial Tobacco staff.

Since bmi regional/flybmi re-introduced the route in 2013 the annual passenger numbers 2013-2017 respectively are:

16,601
21,552
16,128
13,707
15,483

In the first five months of 2018 the route has carried 4,960 passengers down 20.5% on the first five months of 2017. The snow closures in the early part of this year would have paid a small part but the regular cancellation of rotations each month/week this year seems to be making its mark.

Thursday 2 August 2018

Today's cancellations:

KLM Cityhopper KL1050 to Amsterdam at 0910. The BRS website shows the inbound KL1049 due at 0840 as 'landed'. No time shown but the expected arrival time was 0829

easyJet EZY401 to Glasgow at 0715 returning as EZY402 at 1005

Friday 3 August

All flights seem to have operated today - well done to all concerned at this extremely busy time of the year - including all three Ryanair Dublin rotations which are operated by DUB aircraft and crews despite Ryanair's Ireland-based pilots taking their latest strike action today.

Saturday 4 August

Today's cancellations:

British Airways CityFlyer BA7017 to Florence at 1310 cancelled. The inbound BA7016 from Florence scheduled arrival 1225 is shown as 'landed - at 1341 by FR24 and 1343 by the BRS website.

An identical occurrence happened last week, although then the inbound to BRS was much later and it was assumed the cancellation of the return sector to Florence was a crew hours issue but today the inbound to BRS was only around 75 minutes late.

Flybe BE9229 to Innsbruck at 1555 cancelled. The inbound BE9230 from Innsbruck scheduled arrival 1515 is shown as 'landed' at 1835 on the BRS website. FR24 has no mention of either the inbound or the outbound.

If the BRS website is correct and the outbound has been cancelled it will be interesting to see what happens to the BRS-INN passengers as this is a weekly flight on behalf of Inghams customers.

I wonder how much of a impact the Ryanair strike will have into BRS Friday the 10th The Dublin base are on strike also about 5 around Europe as well.

There are eight rotations on Friday (including the three Dublin ones) rostered to be operated by aircraft not BRS based. I've put the details in the BRS Ryanair thread. Last time the Irish pilots went on strike all three DUB-BRS-DUB flights operated.

Thursday 9 August 2018

Several delays this evening from 1-2 hours with one or two more than that. The worst seems to be Thomas Cook from Dalaman due 2355, now showing 0455. easyJet due in from Lisbon at 1915 is showing over two and a half hours delay. It looks as though the aircraft is then rostered for the 1950 to Newcastle and back which currently is showing a similar delay.

I hope all flights do operate. There have been no cancellations that I can determine since Saturday which is a very good performance especially at this time of the year with 106 departures on Sunday, 107 on Monday, 102 on Tuesday, 100 on Wednesday and 109 today. flybmi, a frequent culprit, has probably been helped by the 'traditional' peak summer reduction from 3 to 2 x daily on the Brussels route, and Paris CDG also appears to be seeing fewer daily flights during August.

Friday 10 August 2018

Today's cancellations:

easyJet EZY6153 to Geneva at 0725 returning as EZY6154 at 1120
No idea why although currently the evening GVA rotation is shown as operating.

Ryanair FR1590 from Cologne at 1805 returning as FR1591 at 1830
Ryanair FR508 from Dublin at 2045 returning as FR509 at 2110
Both doubtless due to pilots' industrial action today although the other two DUB rotations, also operated by DUB-based crews, are operating.

The BBC local news said 4 Ryanair flights cancelled today. All I can think is counting of the flights both ways.

Bristol Post saying the same thing but they enumerate them as Dublin-Bristol, Bristol-Dublin, Cologne-Bristol, Bristol-Cologne.

I suppose that strictly speaking they are correct in that.

Sunday 12 August 2018

Today's cancellations:

flybmi BM1863 to Dusseldorf at 1315 returning as BM1864 at 1650
easyJet EZY6045 to Palma at 1945 returning as EZY6046 at 0055 (Mon)*

* In its not infrequent, unhelpful and confusing manner with cancelled flights, the BRS website is showing EZY6046 as both cancelled and with an expected arrival time of 0210. As the outbound is shown on the airport website as cancelled it must be presumed the return flight is also not operating...........

Tuesday 14 August 2018

Aer Lingus Regional (Stobart) EI3280 from Dublin at 0735 returning as EI3281 at 0810 cancelled.

Thursday 16 August

flybmi BM1867 to Dusseldord at 1720 cancelled. The return BM1868 due BRS 2100 is showing 'by coach from Birmingham Airport'. I presume flybmi took seats on a Eurowings service from DUS to BHX.

Update on the cancelled BACF Florence flight.

Received a cheque for the EU 261/04 compensation claim within 3 weeks of the flight being cancelled. Online claim on BA website along with a stern explanation of what transpired on the day seemed to have done the trick. Refund of ticket was done on the day itself.

Congratulations on getting your EU 261 compensation - usually it seems quite a fight to get that.

Did you request/were you offered re-routing (e.g. on KLM, which I think offers a later departure to FLR via AMS) or a flight ex LHR/LGW as an option (obviously with transfer costs paid), or was a refund the only option available?

No re routing offers were made and i did not wish to trudge allthe way to LHR so asked for a refund which was immediately processed.

The EC regs claim was made online the same day and processed within 3 weeks. Not bad at all.

Thank you for the info - I am due to take this flight next month, and, with recent performance in mind, forewarned is forearmed!

It landed at BRS at 1204 today - 21 minutes early! Hopefully, there will be no impediment to its returning to Florence this afternoon.
