Good for Poznan! It's a shame one isn't being announced for Cardiff.

Just had a quick look at the seat map for tomorrow's MLA departure and only 9 seats left. It's great to see on FR24 a Ryanair flight every day!

Encouraging because, as I posted in the CWL TCX thread just now, the school holidays in South Wales don't begin until next weekend unlike South West England where they begin this weekend.

Yes it is. I think Malta is a destination that has appeal with lots of different types of travelers from beach goers to culture seekers to people on weekend breaks.

Well apparently from today Ryanair passengers can now use the self service bag drop machines along with TUI and Flybe passengers.

Ryanair starts AGP on Monday - 1,134 weekly seats.
The potential for Ryanair at CWL is terrific. Spain, Canaries, Greece, Italy, Portugal.
I'll be surprised if FAO isn't taken on further by Ryanair, importantly there will be no competition on the route next year. Daily wouldn't be overkill.
Rome has the potential for 3 weekly. Rome clearly shone from the outset with Flybe compared to the mediocre Munich, Berlin etc.
Venice and Verona were also quick to gain high LF's.

My gut says if Ryanair came in with a stronger offering next year, the passengers will come.

I would not be surprised if they looked at Alicante maybe operating it the same as Malaga June to September. Another route that could be a possibilty is Lanzarote now that TCX has dropped it. I do think if they are in the future to look at Rome and Venice especially Rome then Barcelona will need to do well as it is a similar type of route. Hopefully as well they'll go 3 weekly with Faro.

Completely forgot to mention that yesterday was the start of Ryanair's new service to Malaga!

Just had a quick look at the April stats for Ryanair's new services.
Malta saw 2552 passengers use the route. 159 LF per flight 84%LF.
Barcelona saw 2878 passengers use the route down only 3% from last year. 159 LF per flight 84%LF.
Not a bad start.

A good start and by the peak holiday months should be up around the 90s% which is probably what Ryanair will be looking for.

I forgot to mention as well with Barcelona they seem to have done better than Vueling in that the drop was only 3% and Vueling operated the route 3 weekly.

As long as everything is on time, tomorrow could be an interesting moment in CWL's history.
FAO will arrive 19.00 --------------Depart 19.25
AGP will arrive 19.20 --------------Depart 19.45
This would surely be the first time (even if only for 5 mins) that two Ryanair aircraft have been at CWL on regular scheduled duties at the same time!
