Air France-KLM have approached Boeing and Airbus for new orders for short-medium aircraft. Having a read they seem interested in the 737-MAX and Airbus 220 aircraft and NEOS.

Air France already have an order for the A220 to replace their A318/319CEOs.

Would make sense for Air France to order the NEO, whilst KLM goes for the MAX.

No this was talking about an order more for it’s low cost arm Transavia. Both the Dutch and French ones.

Fair enough.

Was only thinking the other day that Air France and KLM are the only major European airlines yet to order the NEO or MAX for their mainline operations. I'd be surprised if they don't in the next 5 years, maybe once they've recovered from the pandemic.

Massively surprised at that considering KLMs relationship with Boeing. That's a big blow for Boeing.

I think their relationship has strained in recent times due to Dreamliner delivery delays.

Air France-KLM have ordered 50 Airbus A350s, for KLM these will likely replace their A330s and 777-200er aircraft.

All but one of Air France's routes from Orly they also serve from de Gaulle, so a lot of duplication already.

The one route served from ORY but not CDG is Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe, which presumably with switch to CDG when Air France pull out of ORY.

A big loss for ORY ?
