Win the word cup - fly back to Heathrow with a heroes welcome? Hundred million people lining the streets, King Charles meet them off the plane?

Go out in the second round fly back to Birmingham under cover of darkness with their tails between their legs, Brian Dick from Birmingham mail to get the exclusive?

That the plan?

To be honest I feel more concerned about this question than how we’ll do football wise…and I’m normally a football enthusiast

I was just glad to see a Virgin Atlantic Aircraft use Birmingham Airport at all, normally they have used Luton or another airport to depart from, but no, great to see a one off Virgin Atlantic airline use Birmingham Airport, let's hope and pray that now they have used and experienced Birmingham Airports facilities, they might think again, but then in real world, not, anyway let's all pray they do....AndyC

No, the England football team use BHX for departure and return as their training ground (St Georges Park) is located in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire ( ).

The possibility of Virgin Atlantic starting services from BHX is ABSOLUTELY ZERO! Forget abut it, it's not going to happen. The facilities that they used, were, I believe the XLR executive jet centre, not the passenger terminals.

On a positive note we now know A350k IS compatible

I did notice that it vacated at the end of RWY15 and then re-entered the runway at taxiway E to get over to the GA/Cargo apron.

On departure they had to taxi back down to E to cross the runway rather than use the closer taxiway C - the latter of which has a greater than 90 degree turn back on itself.

So I'd say there's certainly still some taxiways that the -1000 can't manage at BHX, and it never went near the terminal apron so we don't know if there's problems around there as well.

Until someone starts flying from BHX and taking away pax from virgin it ain’t going to happen… I’m afraid far too many locals are more than happy using Man/Lhr, there’s even a virgin travel shop in Solihull.

I'm sorry but locals are not more than happy to use MAN/LHR, the fact is they have no choice if they want a direct flight ?

One Air 747-400F (G-UNET) is due in from CWL around 1145 tomorrow and due to depart back to CWL around 1210. Is this the 747 that has showed up on the BHX boards a few times before but ended up going elsewhere? Last time it used this callsign it flew to Shannon.

The last time it was due BHX, from memory, it flirted with Doncaster and Prestwick instead.

It has been retimed on FR24 to 14.50 arrival at BHX. We shall see!! ( or perhaps not!!).

It finally turned up!. It would be nice to have it based at BHX. I believe it was once based at DSA, but obviously needed a new home with their closure. Interesting that it came up and returns to Cardiff.
