According to SeanM on twitter, Easyjet have reduced LPL-NCE and BCN to summer only , and MAD ending end of October. Antalya to become year round. Disappointing news form Easyjet for the most part, but they never surprise me with the attitude towards their Liverpool base, their network they seem to slowly be dismantling . Nice was their first route along with Amsterdam in 1997, Barcelona and Madrid were added very soon afterwards. They have been popular ever since. I have always felt a 3rd LoCo carier is needed at Liverpool, to interrupt the duopoly of EZY /FR.

Low-cost airline easyJet will resume flights to Paris from Liverpool this winter

Daily flights to Paris from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) will resume later this year, easyJet says.
From October 30 easyJet will offer daily flights to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport as part of its winter schedule. Single fares currently start at £22.99.
Main low-cost rival to easyJet, Irish carrier Ryanair, currently offers return flights between Liverpool to the French capital on Tuesdays and Saturdays. However, it uses Beauvais Airport which is 55 miles from the centre of Paris.
Travelling between Beauvais, which is much smaller than Charles de Gaulle, and Paris is both difficult and expensive. A taxi ride will cost between €170 and €210. There is no direct train connection to Paris. However, there are trains from the town of Beauvais which is located around 2.5 miles from the airport.
In contrast, Charles de Gaulle is a major international hub and is much better connected to Paris. It is located just 22 miles from the city centre and a taxi will cost no more than €60. There are also trains to Paris every 15 minutes.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, said: “We’re delighted to be adding new routes and resuming more services across our UK network for this winter. We are offering our customers more choice to enjoy an even greater range of destinations at fantastic low fares.”

However, passengers will hope easyJet will have addressed the staffing and capacity issues that have led to two multiple summer cancellations. In June the carrier said it was scaling back capacity for July to September from 97% to 90% of pre-pandemic levels.
The company, which operates 25 routes out of Liverpool, said it was not able to say exactly how many flights would be cancelled. However, it added passengers would get advance notice.
Ryanair, in contrast, has suffered far fewer problems this summer after better anticipating the post-pandemic surge in demand. It operates more than 30 flights out of Liverpool. In Early July, Ryanair chief executive Michael O’Leary warned of fare rises in 2023 due to soaring fuel costs.
“It’s got too cheap for what it is,” he said. “I find it absurd every time that I fly to Stansted, the train journey into central London is more expensive than the air fare.”

Easyjet are having a lot of problems. Liverpool's flights offered by them are also being affect. No details for Madrid or Krakow for 23 so far. Madrid is a very long standing route, which someone else could easily do well to run. Ryanair also offer Krakow.

EasyJet has revealed its plans for expansion at Liverpool John Lennon Airport today, announcing that an additional Airbus A320 family aircraft will be based in Liverpool this summer. The airline has also announced it will launch a new summer route between Liverpool and the popular Greek island of Corfu.

The 156-seat A319 aircraft will be based in Liverpool throughout the summer season, and it joins two 156-seat Airbus A319, and four 186-seat A320 aircraft already serving the airline’s customers in Liverpool.

The addition of the new aircraft will also create around 40 job opportunities at the airport.

The new route between Liverpool and Corfu is scheduled to launch on 4 June 2023, with weekly departures on Sundays, offering customers in the North West even more choice when it comes to planning a beach holiday with easyJet. Seats are now on sale from just £26.99* at easyJet.com and via the mobile app.

Paul Winfield, Director of Aviation Development for Liverpool John Lennon Airport commented:

“We’re delighted that easyJet will be offering passengers from the North West and North Wales even more opportunities to fly from the region’s airport of choice, with more seats now on sale from Liverpool for next Summer as we continue our recovery from the pandemic. Our reputation of delivering a faster, easier, friendlier customer experience is seeing more and more passengers asking to fly from Liverpool.”

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, added:

“I am delighted to be announcing our plans for expansion at Liverpool today. The addition of another aircraft will help us to further strengthen our network in Liverpool and offer customers an even wider range of destinations, like our new route to Corfu. And with flights for autumn 2023 on sale tomorrow, customers can also book early for next autumn and snap up the best fares across our network to find a great-value getaway or October half term holiday.
