Sunset at Sizergh Castle, Kendal. 18th November 2018

Getting there late meant not getting as many autumnal shots as I intended but offered up this shot of the lake by the wooded knoll.
Shame you couldn't achieve what you wanted to achieve but this picture was worth the visit nonetheless.
 
Thanks. Had I actually taken that walk at the start of the visit then I'd have missed out on this opportunity as this is just beyond the entrance to the garden. The other slightly disappointing thing was that around half the grounds were off limits "to protect the grass" that looked in pretty good shape. Still can't really grumblle too much (apart from almost being marooned on an unlit main road in the middle of nowhere!)
