Social media and marketing is in house but ironically pigeon post is probably quicker. I've always thought LBA's efforts at marketing and new business needs an overhaul to bring it into the 20th century and then may be some day the 21st!
If you see anything online please support. The aviation and tourist sectors are holding a march in London on 23rd June about job losses. Given BJ's climate change stance at G7 I think its necessary.
Thank you so much WH...much appreciated. Three of my friends are now going through a redundancy process ...the reality of if we allow stagnation in the aviation sector.
I think if you ask marketing they will want to lead on this...its a sensitive time for a variety of reasons. Let's not mess it up for LBA by whipping up angst ....who is the marketing boss by the way and when did he reply? I've not seen anything.
Plane watcher....I'd suggest you ignore...this just provides more oxygen. Entering into public scraps achieves nothing. Have you thought about contacting the airport marketing team to ask them to reply officially? There's a reason why they don't respond to this sort of stuff.
You are all doing a tremendous job. People are paid full time roles to be social media influencers/campaigners and you are doing it voluntarily for the love of aviation and the region. Good on you. To be honest I feel the airport should be doing more ...but I've thought that all along.
Have we descended to responding to petty trolls on social media. Just ignore please, they want us to get into a debate. No one will ever win and it soon descends into insults. I've said it before but it brings us down to their level and doesn't do LBA or its business partners any favours.
The main issue here is that Boris is anti LHR's 3rd runway and thus aviation in general. On the one hand he's an environmentalist, on the other he's trying to keep industry happy. So he wants to be a world leader at the climate change conference in the UK later in the year and set incredulous...
Fantastic that routes are starting up but, in my opinion, there needs to be more holiday destinations and less Eastern European routes. FR should up their game and extend their holiday destination choice to offer new routes to entice pax away from MAN. Wouldnt it be great if they offered more...
Just watching another environmental story on Look North about a new sustainable housing development which have been built in the city centre....no need to worry about electric cars ...the residents don't have cars!!!! I've had to turn over
I completely agree but government departments or these sorts of organisations would not support air travel given their green travel policies for the UK between Leeds and London. We have more chance with BA in terms of onward connectivity.
Yep, said on the news. The UK has set the most ambitious climate change targets in the world ahead of the COP26 summit later in the year in Glasgow. China (and India and Japan and Russia, to name but a few) must be laughing at us. Our impact globally is miniscule, crazy decision and I'm worried...
This is what various news websites are predicting. WH correct in terms of Jenrick, terminal development and LBA capacity...
Target - Stop expanding UK airport capacity and impose a frequent flyer levy with the aim of reducing the number of flights by 15%
Impact - The average Briton currently...
