    Ryanair

For 2025 Ryanair will 205254 seats on sale currently (Not including any Winter flights that aren't on sale yet, and based on 737-800 189Y, not Max) A snippet of what's on offer from FR & VY this year.

But combined with FR, ALC is now 6x weekly. Which is probably the most seats ever been made available, even under bmibaby who had more frequencies but fewer seats per flight. PMI is a mystery to everyone. FR has to pick it up soon.

    Vueling

Alicante has to be a very good money maker for them. It's consistently been 3x weekly for a long time, with generally good timings and often expensive prices, meaning fuller flights. If they offered the same good timings and kept the schedules consistent then Malaga would perform better too.

    Vueling

They have such a good offering and have developed a good following from people in South Wales, but people seem to be losing faith with the chopping and changing of schedules. With Ryanair in the mix now they risk alienating themselves and shrinking even further, which would be a great shame.

Some of the schedules have changed yet again for Summer 2025. Yet more random scheduling from VY. Changes in bold. Alicante Monday ALC-CWL 09.20-10.55 CWL-ALC 11.35-15.00 Tuesday ALC-CWL 16.50-18.20 CWL-ALC 19.00-22.30 (between 24/6/25 and 9/9/25 instead of Wednesday flight) Wednesday ALC-CWL...

Rugby, Football and General Sport flights/charters.

It would be great to see, and with EI would likely be more frequencies, such as double daily. But I think CWL needs to be cautious in it's approach to maintain both FR and EI on the route. FR still seems to be growing on the route, varying between 4-6 weekly departures recently. Hopefully a...

    KLM

KLM have issues with aircraft and flight crew availability. They've been increasing their usage of Eastern for several months. I wouldn't be surprise is KLM distance themselves from Cityhopper a bit more and outsource things.

Rugby, Football and General Sport flights/charters.

The French games were always the most popular, whether home or away. Surprised there aren't any flights. Gullivers are offering packages with flights from Cardiff. Wonkysheep are showing sold out. Is it just a case that flight slots haven't been published yet?

    Cardiff Airport - General Thread

An overview of number of flights and seats available for 2025. This doesn't include one off charters such as Lapland, P&O Cruise and Rugby flights. KLM E75/E90 flights are a bit sporadic so is based on one of each per day but may not be completely accurate.

It was indeed Dec 5th 2023 that ALC and TFS were put on sale.

    TUi Airways

With the announcement today that LPA will have two weekly flights and FUE launching, both extending into summer 2026, it looks like LPA has been moved to a Monday and Thursday, freeing up space for FUE on Saturday. It means there's a clash on a Monday and Thursday afternoon. On both days there's...

    Random Stuff!!

BRS opposed the CWL funding from the WG, so absolutely CWL should oppose the expansion, with the argument that there is untapped capacity at CWL which wouldn't require any development.

    easyJet

How many aircraft are based at Bristol again? I'd say BRS has done extremely well over other airports in recent years.

    Potential Routes

Something is either seriously wrong, or there is something in the pipeline that will surprise us all. You'd think FR to PMI, BCN and MLA would be no brainers, considering some of the routes that they've launched to other airports over the past few weeks. I also think CFU, previously served by...

    Cardiff Airport - General Thread

Easyjet wouldn't need to. They are big enough both at BRS and across Europe to create schedules that support based and non-based flights, and tap into the schedule gaps at BRS outside of the peak times of based aircraft. Jet2 could go either way. Hopefully they are established enough now to read...

    Cardiff Airport - General Thread

I believe most recent reports say that's been pushed back to at least 2028. The 2026 forecast was based on Wizz being around. CWL really only has one hope, and that's Ryanair.

    Play

WOW was actually a profitable airline for some time. The demise of them was caused by over expansion. They got greedy and introduced the A330s on longer routes which didn't work out and was ultimately the final nail in the coffin. Play are basically mirroring the successful parts of WOW...
