Sorry to break this news to you but that is how long it takes to offload baggage from the hold of an aircraft. 25 minutes is good going. The quick passage through immigration will just have made your wait seem longer.
From at least the mid 80s children were taught metric with millimeters, metres and kilometres. Milligrams, grams and kilograms. You have to be old skool to not understand metric. In fact I find it annoying that we use miles and miles per hour instead of kilometres given and kilometres per hour...
The greyed out parts of the ground floor contains the stairs for the control tower. Also there's the old domestic arrivals area and Swissport crew room, unless that has moved. It is likely much of this area could be handed over to expand the hall A check-in area or provide space for security...
Just checked the plans and unless they have changed again there is space for around 5 desks or bag drop points in the space created when the old CSZ is moved. This is separate from the new arrivals meet and greet area.

It sounds a nice idea but let's face it, the majority of London bound traffic as a hub airport will have passengers continuing onto the continent. BA aren't going to move to the regions and reduce their hub operation.
The stretch between Rawdon and Guiseley on the A65 was made worse following the narrowing of the road and introduction of a 20mph zone. The scheme (that caused a serious accident just days after it was implemented) has lead to traffic standing or crawling on the 2 miles leading up to Guiseley...
