    Ryanair

FAO also appears to be showing in the booking system now at 2x weekly.

Great news - A small step in the right direction for the airport with getting these core routes back, and operated by FR.

    Cardiff Airport - General Thread

I’m not saying that’s their stance on running an airport, but for them it must surely be a difficult investment piece (to invest in attracting airlines etc) which ultimately increases carbon emissions. A balancing act between maintaining WG policy and running a commercial airport.

    Cardiff Airport - General Thread

I think we’re all missing something here with the way in which the WG are dealing with the climate/carbon situation in Wales (and the focus on this particularly within Transport). The National Transport Strategy effectively prohibits many forms of new road construction which would increase...

    Eastern Airways

On that basis, how on earth are the fares so high (and have been pretty much since Week 1, after they started in the “Reasonable” ballpark). Something’s not quite right with the operating model here …

    Ryanair

Wasn’t expecting that one … Good news (although timings seem a bit sour on Fridays).

    Qatar Airways

The article states that it will be re-launched in 2023, so i’m guessing that means the service will resume at some point in 2023? Winter is a good time because a lot of the connections from DOH are “In-season” throughout Asia, Australia, NZ etc. Given that we’re in June now, some time around...

    Qatar Airways

Excellent news - I guessed this was on the radar, Winter 2023 would be a good time to relaunch. Given that this has been made public now, it can’t be long before it’s put on sale to get a good booking window. It will be interesting to see in what shape it returns first and foremost in terms of...

    Ryanair

I believe so … Times have been horrendous so far and throughout this Summer.

    Ryanair

On the plus side, the timings appear to be a lot better. The timings they’ve used throughout this Summer have killed the popularity of the service in my opinion.

    Vueling

Now loaded all the way through to the end of March 2024.

    Vueling

Both are now loaded up until Mid/End of January 2024. What offering did they have last Winter? Seems promising in principle that the Summer 2023 schedule is continuing into Winter … As Jerry says above, Summer 2024 looks to be key for the airport (You’d be hopeful that VY would increase their...

    Eastern Airways

The fares on the ORY route look incredibly healthy from a T3 perspective … But you’ve got to wonder whether those fares appeal to the masses.

    Ryanair

Just to add to the above, the last couple of BFS flights have been rather well loaded. Fares don’t appear to be that high though …

    Eastern Airways

It’s not a tech, or any other weather related delay etc friendly schedule - I can see crewing being a challenge with this. CWL may be on the raw end of any delays unfortunately looking at the schedule. I’ve been having a read throughout various LinkedIn pages, and it does actually appear as...

    Eastern Airways

ORY has now appeared as a bookable destination from CWL (and EMA). Nothing bookable as of yet.

    Eastern Airways

Positive steps … Sounds like it’ll be a daily service (Hoping for some sort of AF codeshare, although their ORY operation isn’t as extensive as CDG by any stretch). T3 aren’t the ideal operator for a Paris route as noted by others above (They aren’t exactly renowned for being low-cost), but …...

    Eastern Airways

Potentially a space worth watching …

    TUi Airways

TUI are significantly up against it at BRS with competition from Jet2 at the minute (Jet 2 seem to be growing profusely, and have also recently taken TUI’s hotspot as the largest tour operator in the UK). Potentially something to keep an eye on over the next season or two.

    Potential Routes

That’s a wildcard, unless it’s for the RWC only, then I don’t see how that one could be operated (As far as i’m aware they don’t have a base at either Paris airport).
