Back on 19th June 2013 I was fortunate to be invited to visit the new control tower, just before it was fully commissioned. The following is my photographic record of that day:

This video clip, by StuWithAView, includes a flyby of Manchester in no other way that I have ever seen before. You have to go to around 11 minutes before the airport actually appears!!

All I can say is "Enjoy" :D:D

PS - sorry I had posted in incorrect link to the video.

Bit off topic but had a good trip out at MAN airport today, smooth on time transpennine train service to mancs pic and onto the airport.
Id say the airport was running at around 70percent of 2019 levels but was so strange to see terminal 3 closed and deserted and terminal 2 at a very reduced operation.
Was mainly jet2, easyjet and ryanair operating with a very limited amount of international and European airlines.

Great pictures @andyc941 you're bringing the gallery to life with all your recent uploads. If you label up your photos with full descriptions you will increase the viewership of your pictures even further.

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
