Interesting that XL France have got slots for flights to the Champions League Final already when the quarter finals are yet to be played! (Final is in Madrid on 1st June).

I don't think it's actually going to be "non-stop" but you never know!!

By the looks of things its on a 772. Standard aircraft have a range of 9700km, ER variant has a range of 13080km.

MAN - PER is approx 14,600km, so bearing in mind the aircraft used probably won't be fitted out in a standard airline config, but more likely an all business with lighter load, the aircraft would probably be able to make it non stop.

The Perth flight should be for MUFC's pre-season tour. So likely low-density config. And will the club allocate all the seats?

Hi everyone

Reference the Etihad A380 visit earlier.Having spoken to some Transfer pax who came off it, it seems a whole raft of pax have been re-routed through Manchester, due to connection issues at AUH for whatever reason I'm not aware. ( maybe weather, tech aircraft and the like ).

I feel it's a one off event today although who's to say it might not happen again. The A380 was needed for the extra pax volume. The re-routed pax might not have been destined for Man. Approx 30 went onto LHR but Man might have been the best option to get them to LHR to reconnect to their original destination.

I hope that explanation helps folks.

Cheers from Seargant Bilko.

If they're heading for Heathrow could it be something to do with the cessation of Jet Airways remaining international flights this week? Passengers booked with connecting airlines maybe. Saying that though Etihad have a daily 787 to Heathrow they could have upgraded instead.

Whilst I'm disappointed to have missed out on a pic of A6-APD due to easterly ops today, missing Aeroflot A333 VQ-BNS doesn't worry me. They seem to use the same one every time for Manchester United duties. Anyone know why? Does it have a unique seating config or something??? They've got 17 A333's to choose from.
