Todays EY21 operated by brand new, on its first revenue flight, Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner A6-BND in the glorious Manchester City Football Club colurs is currently en route over Turkey and approaching the Black Sea. Expected arrival Manchester at 1500pm.

Dare I say a " dream machine for a dream team ".

It is actually the unfashionable clubs which produce the best football airlifts. Their fans perceive the chance to see their team playing the PL Champions away in their world-famous stadium as a potential once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. They dare not miss it ... the chance may never arise again. But for fans of the 'larger' clubs - Barcelona, Madrid, Juventus, Bayern etc., it is presumed that their teams will make the latter stages of the competition. Most can't afford to attend every away tie, so they'll save their funds in the hope / expectation of seeing a semi-final or a final. So if you can draw a club with a reasonably prosperous fanbase and combine this with affordable day-return fares and manageable timings (just one day off work?) you have the ingredients for a good airlift.
