TUI B737-8 MAX (G-TUMB) departed MAN this morning for an hours flight up to 40,000ft over Southern Scotland before returning to MAN. This is the first time a MAX has flown in the UK since G-TUMF was brought back from TFS to BHX in September 2020 as far as I can tell.

Currently the following long(ish) haul scheduled flights are operating:

Emirates - 4 x week B773 Dubai
Ethiopian - 3 x weekly B788 Addis Ababa
Etihad - daily B789 Abu Dhabi
Pegasus - 2 x week - A320
Qatar - 14 x week mix B788/B789 Doha
Turkish - 4 x week mix A321/A333 Istanbul
Virgin - 4 x week B789 Islamabad

The following is taken from the Manchester Evening News and I thought gives an interesting insight as to the number of flights operating. They refer to up to 2,200 passengers per day continuing to fly. That would equate to approximately 61,600 for this month - compared with roughly 1.78m in 2020. What can I do but cry

The following flights are due to depart Manchester Airport on Thursday:

5.55am: KLM to Amsterdam
6.15am: Air France to Paris
7.25am: Qatar Airways to Doha
8.30am: British Airways to London
10.40am: KLM to Amsterdam
11.05am: Brussels Airlines to Brussels
12.25am: Etihad Airways to Abu Dhabi
12.35am: Virgin Atlantic Airways to Islamabad
1.10pm: Emirates to Dubai
1.25pm: British Airways to London
1.45pm: Qatar Airways to Doha
2.45pm: Qatar Airways to Doha
3.35pm: Loganair to the Isle of Man
4pm: Lufthansa to Frankfurt
4.35pm: Aer Lingus to Belfast
5.10pm: Air France to Paris
5.30pm: Loganair to Aberdeen
6.55pm: Ethiopian Airlines to Addis Ababa

Arrivals due into Manchester Airport on Thursday:

6.15am: Qatar Airways from Doha
7.20am: Ethiopian Airlines from Addis Ababa
9.55am: KLM from Amsterdam
10.15am: Brussels Airlines from Brussels
10.30am: British Airways from London
11.05am: Etihad Airways from Abu Dhabi
12.15pm: Qatar Airways from Doha
3.05pm: Lufthansa from Frankfurt
3.05pm: Loganair from Isle of Man

3.55pm: easyJet from Belfast
4.20pm: Air France from Paris

I believe those KLM flights are non-op as well. The Dutch government is wary of importing the "English variant". No flights TFN.

My plans got altered slightly as one of the minibus companies had to cancel 3 trips and refunded me but will be getting nice discount when I rebook them.
wondering why on my "holidays" I choose to get up 2 hours earlier than when going to work. 6 trips in 6 days soon coming up with 3 more days to sort out
