and again more changes, seems 1 B7M8 and 1 B738 are swapping between Manchester and Newcastle, Newcastle to have 4 B7M8s & 1 B738, Manchester 3 B7M8s, and 7 B738s

and as mentioned in the Bristol forum, looks like it might be 5 B7M8s instead of 6

TUI will operate 175 weekly departures in Summer 2025 from Bristol, Cardiff, Bournemouth and Exeter and will base 13 aircraft across the 4 airports.

Mass IT Outage – Information for guests in resort due to travel home on 19/07

Updated: Saturday 20th July 2024 | 11:24

We were severely impacted by the global IT outage yesterday and are working hard to recover our flying operation. We are however sorry to inform you that due to the scale of the disruption we will not be able to operate your flight back to the UK today. However we would like to reassure you that we will be providing you with a flight home.

Our representatives locally are working hard to find accommodation for you, but if you have booked your own hotel then please keep your receipts and we will reimburse reasonable costs. You can also claim for your meals and soft drinks here.

If you have sourced a flight home by another airline please also keep those receipts as reasonable costs can be claimed here.

We absolutely understand this not the end of your holiday that you would expect and apologise again for the impact this has had.

We ask that you please to bear with us while we work through the next steps. Further information will follow at 3pm UK time today.

How did this happen 3 days after it came off runway 14?

Didn't leave Leeds until 31/10
Which would suggest that the investigation report is incorrect in stating the aircraft was WD. Perhaps they were flummoxed by the fact there were two TUi incidents within 3 days and left WDs registration in this report by accident.

Whatever, two incidents within 3 days, same aircraft type, different issues, but in both cases the crew didn't respond in the way the investigators expected. I wouldn't blame anyone. Flying a plane is a complicated business and respect to everyone that does it , but neither this nor the LBA report are a good read, especially for TUi.

You have to wonder if this was WDs first revenue flight after it returned to MAN following its trip into the mud at LBA, and if the bleeds were turned off when the clean up was being done to the engines etc., or after returning to MAN. Either way, it doesn't read well does it? Two incidents within days,.both the same aircraft and in neither case did the crew do what they were expected to do by investigators.
This event has striking similarities to the Helios event of 2005 which resulted in hull loss and deaths of all on board. Quite frightening due to the insidious nature of hypoxia. Fortunate on this occasion that the crew were able to notice the error in time and get the aircraft back on the ground safely.

I realise its a typo and have put a message on Avherald pointing out the error!

According to the CAA report, this incident was indeed relating to G-TAWD, but it occurred on the 17th October 2023, so 3 days before it went off the runway at LBA. So the aircraft was involved in two major incidents within 3 days. Interestingly, it also had problems last month on the 4th when it was unable to retract its gear following take off .

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
