Noticed a comment by a member in leeds skyscraper forum suggesting we are possibly in for big news in 2025 regarding many previously served destinations reintroduced plus new destinations announced by a potential carrier! Could be just someone making things up or who knows, but thought id mention it in here.
Probably be IPS Airways. :ROFLMAO:

Or perhaps someone has read my Consultative Meeting update and posted on that forum, because that's basically what I reported.

All it's, buts and maybe's though at the moment.

I have absolute respect for whoever

Probably be IPS Airways. :ROFLMAO:
Im still waiting for those IPS A330s on our runway haha

Thanks to @SeanM1997 on x - noting Wizz starting LGW TO Jeddah. Could this be one for LBA in the future? Ties in with a route the LBA routes team are targeting, and Wizz already have existing links and see LBA as successful. One to watch maybe?

Will that be Wizz UK?

Haven’t a clue? To me they are all the same entity anyway, just shell companies in different jurisdictions for tax and operational reasons. Can you tell from the flight code? Wizz Air W95605/6
Even if they are all the same it would likely need to have a UK ops base at LBA which as we know the UK arm of Wizz pulled back to its core ops from the London airports.

Have I imagined it or did FR operate ORK for a while, they did Shannon
Aer Arran did indeed do it with Galway.
Cork was served by BMI regional and also Aer Arann over a decade ago. Although BMI never seemed to get decent loads, Aer Arann always seemed to be busy so it must have been a low yielding route back then. With more people than ever using LBA now is probably a good time to give it another go.

Any update on an announcement of new routes? There were strong rumours of LM making an appearance but that seems to have gone quiet.
Certainly don't see anything from T3 coming other than KL ops as it looks like they are suspending CDG from both EMA and SOU. Definite indication of how they see their longer term operating future.
With the terminal extension looking to be nicely on schedule hopefully we have some imminent announcements coming for 2025

Well Jet2 commences its new 1x weekly service to Agadir tomorrow.

I’ve heard a few rumours that the is an EasyJet announcement due imminently along with a new route for Ryanair next summer.

Would be nice if we get the Loganair announcement soon. I’ll be definitely booking if they do Heathrow on a British Airways Codeshare.
I guess we will know if it’s going to happen once Loganair and BA do a slot swap as these are published on the ACL website.

The visit by the Loganair CEO which will include attendance by the travel trade isn't due until next month as I recall so if it's successful any announcement will presumably come later. Unless of course there's been a change of plan and a decision has already been made, one way or the other.

All sounds quite promising for LBA all things considered, especially considering current turmoil in the world as a whole. Thriving airlines at a thriving airport is a real bonus. I really wouldn't want to be in DSA's or Global's shoes right now and trying to start from scratch. Give me LBA any day of the week and credit needs to go to anyone who has contributed to where it is today. Bring on more positive announcements

according to some people, you only need 1 day in each of the Yorkshire Dales, North Wales and Lake District "to have seen it all". Which is why its minibus tour number 3 this year of the Yorkshire Dales for me on 16th October. Different routes and different things to see each tour.
Apologies for any issues today, I was planning on updating the site but sadly something went wrong so the upgrade has been postponed. Apologies again for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your kind donation to our running costs Jenny.
I've done 2 minibus tours with Mountain Goat this week. Monday was North York Moors with over 600 photos and today High Adventure in the Lakes with 750. photos. Slightly snap happy.
I've asked Gareth Southgate for the winning lottery numbers. He said 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
