I think the difference this time is all governments know this has to be the last lockdown so they are adding to the scare-mongering to try get more to behave so as to bring an end sooner. I also think there is a reluctance to give false hope this time around. That said, if summer 2021 does become a write-off then it is not good news for Ryanair et al. Let’s stay positive. Things are levelling, if not falling in the UK so all we can do is get our own house in order first. Less movement of people will bring cases down. But bring on COVID passports to aid aviation and tourism recovery
