Looks like false rumours, which given the source isn’t totally surprising. You would be surprised how many bizarre rumours have been floating around internally on the back of this. Just goes to show that just because someone works somewhere, doesn’t mean they are in any way more informed than the casual observer.

Still, you say something long enough and sure enough there will be an announcement that you can nail your flag to!

A321 for S26 going into GLA and STN. I expect more to come on that front.. Extra aircraft at BOH, EMA, MAN and MCL with the biggest ever year on sale for 2026.

I had heard other interesting things about A321 ops a while back but that’s not been announced yet and plans may have changed. Still a fair way off and I’m sure more will be announced in due course.

All new routes that have been announced for Summer 2026 from bases are already served or will be in future from BHX and MAN

So can’t see how they’d be getting new routes that are already served or announced.

British carrier Jet2.com in Northern winter 2024/25 season plans to conclude Boeing 757-200 operations, as the airline’s Boeing 757 schedule is listed until 05JAN25 inclusive.

The carrier’s planned last Boeing 757 service for individual routes in December 2024 and January 2025 as follows, as of 06OCT24.

Manchester – Budapest 21DEC24
Manchester – Fuerteventura 22DEC24
Manchester – Geneva 05JAN25 (Tentatively scheduled as Jet2’s final 757 service)
