Nice to see Eurojet Aviation doing well.

Eurojet Aviation Adds to Fleet of World Class Aircraft

11 November 2013

Eurojet Aviation, one of the UK’s leading aircraft management, charter and maintenance companies, has completed the latest phase of its expansion plans with the addition of a new Cessna Citation XLS+ to its managed fleet of world-class aircraft.

Along with the largest cabin in its class, the Cessna Citation XLS+ brings first-class luxury to all eight passengers, including WIFI and fully reclining leather seats for optimal comfort. Eurojet operates a mixed fleet of owned and managed aircraft consisting of Citation Bravos, Excels and XLS aircraft.

The move coincides with industry recognition for Eurojet Aviation services at the Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA) Excellence Awards in London’s Guildhall. The company’s Business Aviation Centre at Birmingham - a £5million investment programme which includes 41,000 sq ft hangarage, state-of-the-art maintenance facility and full service FBO - was named as the Best Handling Agent / FBO at the gala event in October.

Eurojet Aviation Managing Director Graeme Campbell said: “In addition to growing our aircraft fleet, we are delighted to have received this globally-recognised award from BACA. We are constantly looking at ways to improve our client services to offer the highest standards of travel. To have received this endorsement from the world’s largest network for the air charter market just 18 months after opening at Birmingham is a tribute to the dedication and hard work of all our staff.”

He added: “We are now actively focusing on avenues to expand our FBO network and are working with a range of partners to explore acquisition opportunities in the UK and Europe.”

Birmingham Airport’s Development Director, Will Heynes, said: “This award is great news for everyone connected with Eurojet Aviation. Being named the UK’s Best Handling Agent / FBO by the Baltic Air Charter Association is fully deserved and clearly demonstrates the excellent service they offer passengers at Birmingham Airport.

“Furthermore, the addition of a new aircraft to its fleet underlines the strong demand for flights from Birmingham and the success Eurojet has enjoyed since they launched here 18 months ago.”

In 2011 Eurojet formed a partnership with Avfuel to ensure its ground-handling teams have a greatly enhanced fuel supply, allowing for quick and convenient turnarounds. Avfuel have a presence in over 2,000 locations worldwide and are recognised as the market leader in their sector.

146 G-CFZM (ex Jagson) was ferried to Cranfield today with flight number CLJ904. I was told Cello Aviation were acquiring a new aircraft this week so I imagine this is it.

I guess the above must have been a ferry flight with a Cello flight number (something they do quite often).

From the Cello website

Cello plans permanent addition to fleet

ALMOST a year after taking on a second aircraft on a 12 month lease the VIP charter carrier Cello Aviation has declared that it will be looking for a permanent replacement.

The 82 seat RJ 85 has proved itself in the market place and now the VIP carrier is looking for a permanent replacement.

Its RJ 85 will be returned in March when the lease ends while Cello looks for an aircraft to take its place on a long term basis.

Cello Aviation has established itself in the VIP charter market with its BAE 146 in a luxury all leather 46 seat configuration.

The business decided in 2013 to lease a second aircraft with 82 seats in order to test the market for larger groups and the ACMI business.

“This was an experimental diversification and we decided to test the market on a trial basis hence the 12 month agreement,” said Cello Aviation chief executive Nim Baines.

“It has proved a success and enabled us to take larger Ad Hoc groups as well as win work supporting scheduled carriers in the UK and Europe including British Airways, Flybe, Aurigny, Monarch, Darwin and Germania.

“Now is the time to build upon this success and we are actively looking for a new aircraft to join our fleet on a permanent basis.

“There are a number of prospects under review but we want to make sure that it is right, and will take as long as is needed to ensure we get the right aircraft that suits our plans.”

The Eurojet facility has a snow plough and other assorted equipment parked outside the hangar door! That does not bode well. I have heard a rumour that they ceased operations yesterday (6.2.2014) but have not seen anything else to either confirm or deny this.

Not a good sign :nea:

I've not been down for a while but apparently the Citation signs were recently removed from above the hangar doors and word was they had been dropped as an authorised maintenance centre.

Very sad if they have gone bust.

Sounds like it if the airports storing it's snow clearing equipment in it. :shok:

Snow ploughs were still blocking the Eurojet hangar doors today. I've heard, although it is purely conjecture, that the receivers were called in yesterday, there is nothing on their website though.

Private jet firm for the stars in talks over its future

Eurojet Aviation, which was set up by Templepatrick businessman, Graeme Campbell in 1991, said it was negotiating with a "significant new partner". The Belfast Telegraph also understands it is being advised by business recovery and insolvency practitioners in England.......

.......Eurojet also operates a major engineering facility at Birmingham International Airport, an expansion which cost it £5m. A spokesman for the company would not comment on any negotiation with insolvency practitioners, but said: "Negotiations are at an advanced stage with a significant new partner, with a view to developing Eurojet's business offering going forward.

"We are confident that these negotiations will result in a positive outcome."

A spokeswoman at business recovery and insolvency practitioners, Poppleton & Appleby in Birmingham, said: "They are talking to us, but I couldn't say anything further."

She said any affected parties would be notified about any decision on the company's future.......

.......The Birmingham facility was to have become a Cessna centre of excellence for repair of Cessna jets. However, it is understood that company has dismantled its signage at the airport.

I noticed today that all the snow clearing equipment is now stored inside the old hangar two, that is except for a large yellow artic parked across the front doors of the old Eurojet hangar.

In other news Flairjet will be basing a new Cessna Citation Mustang at BHX, reg number G-FFFC.

FlairJet, the London Oxford Airport, UK-based charter operator, is broadening its range of business aircraft under management with the introduction of a brand new Cessna Citation Mustang and a Beechcraft King Air 350i, both joining the fleet this summer.

The Mustang, which offers four-passenger club seating, is scheduled for delivery in late-July and will be based at Birmingham Airport, complementing FlairJet’s London Oxford Airport and London Luton Airport bases.

Cello Aviation adds Boeing 737-400 to its fleet

Cello Aviation is adding a Boeing 737 to its fleet in a major development for the Birmingham based carrier.

It has purchased a Boeing 737-400 that will become operational with the carrier in early 2015 and is expected to create an additional 25 new jobs.

The acquisition is a major development for Cello that currently operates two aircraft, a BAe146 in 46 seat luxury configuration and a BAe RJ85 with 82 seats.

When the Boeing, which has just completed a major maintenance check, enters service it will have undergone an interior refit and been painted in Cello colours.

The aircraft has 165 passenger seats but its design allows Cello to offer various fixed and quick change business and economy configurations. It also has a range of over 2,000 nautical miles enabling it to fly direct from the UK to places such as Turkey, The Canaries and North Africa.

It is anticipated that the Boeing 737-400 will result in additional jobs for cabin crew, flight crew and administrative roles at Cello’s base at Birmingham Airport.

Cello Aviation was founded in 2010 and has become established as a major player in the European VIP charter sector but has also been broadening its portfolio to take on sub charter flying (ACMI) in support of other carriers including British Airways Cityflyer and Flybe.

“We have been looking to introduce a Boeing737 to our fleet for several months and it has been a case of waiting for the right aircraft to become available,” said Vince Essex, Head of Commercial.

“This will give us increased flexibility and the opportunity to carry larger numbers of passengers’ greater distances.”

Nim Baines, Chief Executive of Cello Aviation, said as it expands, the carrier is broadening its strategy to provide a bigger portfolio of aviation services.

“Our name has been built upon our success as a VIP charter operator and this will remain a very important part of the business,” said Nim.

“But we have also been extremely successful in operating on behalf of major scheduled carriers and we intend to build upon this growth in the business area.

“The Boeing 737 is the most successful commercial airliner of all time with over 7,700 being delivered and demonstrates by this fact that it is still going strong half a century after the first versions entered service.

“It is an aircraft that offers flexibility and low operating costs as well as the ability if needed to fly large numbers of people in comfort considerable distances.”

By adding the Boeing737-400 Cello Aviation now has a fleet of aircraft to meet a wide range of customer requirements.

The addition of further aircraft to the Cello Aviation fleet forms part of the company’s growth strategy.

The BHX website article about Marshall Aviation.

Marshall Aviation Services Announces its First Fixed Base Operation (FB0) at Birmingham Airport

28 January 2015

Marshall Aviation Services, the business aviation-focused arm of the Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group, has announced it is widening its expertise into the FBO arena. It has secured the executive aviation handling facility (FBO) at Birmingham Airport and will formally open for business under the Marshall Aviation Services name within the next few months.

Marshall has agreed a long term lease of the award-winning FBO, built in 2011 and located to the west of the airport. The glass fronted 4,000m2 (44,000 sq.ft.) facility, includes 2,500m2 (27,000sq.ft) of hangarage space which will be available both to resident and ad-hoc visiting aircraft. Under the previous operator, the FBO was named Best Handling Agent/FBO by industry peers of the Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA) in 2013. The FBO is regularly used by BAE Avro RJ executive charter operator Cello Aviation and FlairJet, Marshall Aviation Services’ aircraft operations, charter and management company, will also have a presence there. The facility will continue to offer fuel services via Avfuel.

Freddie Judge returns to his previous role to run the facility day-to-day as FBO Manager whilst overseen by Cambridge-based Pauline Smith, who has served in senior FBO roles with ExecuJet and Harrods Aviation in Dubai and London Stansted, respectively. Pauline was manager of Al Bateen Executive’s DhabiJet facility before joining Marshall’s in 2012. The Marshall Aviation Services’ team intends to position the facility as a world-class FBO, offering comprehensive amenities for both flight crew and passengers, including crew rest facilities, flight planning rooms, prayer room and visitor or residential crew offices.

Birmingham Airport, the seventh biggest airport in the UK, offers some unique attributes for business aviation, including 24/7 opening hours, a long 3,052m (10,000ft) runway; 'plenty of low cost apron parking for the largest of aircraft types and excellent ground transportation links, complemented by multiple commercial flights, enabling private aircraft crews to reposition with ease.

Centred within the industrial heart of the UK and home to the motor industry’s development and manufacturing capital, Birmingham has the second largest city economy in the UK, the second most visited city in England outside of London and the region creates exports in goods worth over £20 billion. The new FBO is a mere five minutes’ drive to the UK’s National Exhibition Centre (NEC) and the new £150m Resorts World Casino complex, currently under development by Genting, which includes the former LG Arena.

Entertainers and celebrities, along with business leaders will also be able to access the International Convention Centre (ICC), Symphony Hall and the National Indoor Arena (now Barclaycard Arena) within minutes from the private aviation facility. Birmingham Airport will eventually be linked with London via the new HS2 high speed rail line in just 32 minutes, but today helicopter shuttles are available to interline or reposition to London.

Marshall will work closely with Birmingham Airport in building business through the FBO, realising interlining opportunities for business jet travel, for example, among First and Business Class passengers flying into Birmingham on potential new long-haul destinations - Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Bangkok, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Johannesburg. Business executives can make private aircraft connections for UK or near-Europe flights through the Marshall VIP facility within minutes of arrival or departure.

Marshall Aviation Services Managing Director Steve Jones commented: “This new facility is part of our strategic plan to develop a portfolio of services to private aircraft owners - from aircraft sales and management charter through to support refurbishment and upgrades. Our new Birmingham facility will offer first class handling services, accommodating aircraft up to Gulfstream 550 or Global size in the hangar. We will also be able to offer line support capabilities all Textron family (Cessna, Hawker and Beechcraft) and Bombardier Global or Challenger models in the near term, as the future market demands.”

Melanie Cameron, Birmingham Airport’s Head of Property, said, “The arrival of Marshall Aviation Services at Birmingham Airport is great news. It is a very exciting time for us, with record passenger numbers and the recent completion of a multi-million pound redevelop programme to allow for the growth of our long-haul route network so we are delighted to welcome the Marshalls team this year. The new operation will provide first class facilities for airlines and passengers, and aviation business services that are much needed in the Midlands to support the thriving local economy.”

Great to see Marshalls doing so well and conformation that Cellos 734 will arrive next month :)

Marshall Aviation Services adds Birmingham UK, FBO to its extensive capabilities

Marshall Aviation Services, the business aviation-focused arm of Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group, is preparing to expand activities at its newly secured Fixed Based Operation (FBO) facility at Birmingham International Airport, UK.

The Birmingham FBO will also be home to a new aircraft sales office for Marshall Aircraft Sales, specific to a new business jet type it will support as Northern Europe sales distributor.

Marshall formally re-opened the Birmingham FBO in March, after undergoing a refresh, in keeping with its corporate colours. Since that time business has been steadily picking up with an increasing number of arriving business jets. Marshall also recently welcomed new tenant companies, Jets4UDirect.com and expanding aircraft valeting company Fly Bright, while business aviation operator Cello Aviation is expanding its base at the FBO with a B737-400 arriving in June to complement its VIP BAE 146 and Avro RJ85 business aircraft models.

Marshall agreed a long term lease of the 2011-built FBO at the start of this year, having first visited and reviewed the business immediately after EBACE 2014. The facility offers comprehensive amenities for both flight crew and passengers, including crew rest facilities, flight planning rooms, and visitor or residential crew offices.

The glass fronted 4,000m² (44,000 sq.ft.) facility also includes 2,500m² (27,000sq.ft) of hangarage space which will be available both to resident and ad-hoc visiting aircraft. Fuel partner Avfuel was also signed up in March.

The addition of the Birmingham FBO adds to the already extensive capabilities of Marshall Aviation Services includes sales and acquisition, management and charter, training, maintenance, refurbishment, refinishing, upgrades, CAMO and AOG. This full spectrum of capabilities allows Marshall Aviation Services to offer unrivalled through life support.

“We intend to capitalise on Birmingham Airport’s central location, especially convenient for the city and surrounding region which is home to over 75,000 companies including major global players and a vibrant conference location. The airport’s 24/7 opening hours, long 3,052m (10,000ft) runway; and plenty of competitively priced apron parking to help attract the largest of business aviation aircraft,” said Marshall Aviation Services Vice President Business Development James Dillon-Godfray, adding “being centrally based and at the heart of the motorway networks helps with ground transportation links – also the multiple commercial flights, enable private aircraft crews to reposition with ease.”
