I've decided to just post an initial report as, at present, there are figures missing from various airports and these will effect the final figures - but they probably won't be available for about another month. For some reason the CAA has excluded Birmingham from Table 3 (Movements). When full data is published I'll produce a fresh update.

NOTE: AN ERROR HAD APPEARED IN THE MOVING ANNUAL MOVEMENTS CALCULATION. This has now been corrected.

Interesting numbers Ian. I imagine Luton at 58 compared with only 20 at STN is due to the number of cancelled or non-planned Ryanair flights.
Was LTN mainly easyjet and Wizz? MAN slightly disappointing at first look at 40 but not too bad if those were only arrivals.

Finally the CAA has produced full data for October 2021

At the time of writing, the CAA data for November is incomplete. The following files are empty - Table 9 (Terminal and transit passengers) and both Tables 12.1 (International passengers) and Table 12.3 (Domestic passenger route analysis).

As soon as these files are updated I will start my analysis for the month.

think the airport must must have broken their abacus, or miss placed the paper they have written the November passenger figures on! :ROFLMAO:

Joking aside, is BHX living in the age of the Abacus? I recall the fanfare over Biman, er...what happened? Similar with Primus, avoiding the correct name, what happened?

I like seeing the exotics choosing BHX over the London terminals and it can work so why doesn't it?

I believe that the planned Biman BHX service was a project of the then Biman CEO. When he stepped down, the plans were dropped. I guess that you're also referring to Primera. I believe that they were over ambitious, starting routes before their aircraft were delivered and thus having to lease in the National B757, which didn't have the best reliability record. Not the way to win over new customers. Even if they had received their aircraft as planned, the pandemic would have dealt them a heavy blow, with the majority of their routes being trans-Atlantic.

As for 'exotics' working out of BHX, they are always at a disadvantage, when trying to compete with the likes of LHR which generally offers lower fares and higher frequencies. It can work and Turkmenistan was a great example with the BHX loads being several times those of LHR. I only hope we see them back.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
