Re: Hainain airlines

Hi guys again I don't think link works for some reason... Go onto pprruns manchester discussion and last page...
Cheers

Re: Hainain airlines

Given that Air China have been "all set" to launch MAN for quite a few years I'd be genuinely shocked if Hainan were to beat them to it; the current bilaterals wouldn't allow both airlines to operate at any realistic frequency so I'd be inclined to wait for any official before getting excited.

Too late - Having never seen any of their airframes, the photographer in me is in overdrive :D

I think air china may be off the cards to be honest but apparently many people in china are broadcasting it... Let's wait and see but it's one to keep your eyes open for as this would be tremendous if this goes ahead. :dirol:

Re: Hainain airlines

Its a good find, but I would be cautious as

A) it says the flight is every day
B) It says the aircraft is A340
C) it suddenly links into Air China, saying its both a HU and CA code.

All a bit confusing at this stage.

Yes it is indeed but I email them on there Facebook page also today on (hanain airlines global) and guess what they said

"Hi manni thanks for reaching out to us! We are always exploring ways to expand our direct flights services, and will be sure to announce on our global fan page when we can start offering flights to manchester-Beijing or any other chinese destinations.
We really appreciate your support for getting in contact with us, have a cheerful day ahead."
User001 I'm just wondering when I actually said to them anything about Beijing the advisors have just said manchester -Beijing them selfs.... Now this has put some cheers across my face!
But yes I agree it has a lot of twist and turns!

Re: Hainain airlines

And that's it, the race for the first regional UK-mainland China link is officially over.

BBC and George Osbourne have tweeted to say Hainan Airlines MAN-PEK is announced.

About bloody time!

User001 we knew we were talking sense but we just need to cross our fingers now and make sure the flights are at least 78% filled!

Also guys any news on when the announcement will be made and when the timings are? :whiteflag:

Re: Hainain airlines

Great news for MAN. Thanks user001 for spreading the great info i have read its 4x weekly but days dont know. We will soon find out when its announced tho

Re: Hainain airlines

Hi guys anyone got any news with hainan airlines recently that anyone wants to add to this jigsaw?

Also I was speaking to someone at hainan global on Facebook page and I asked what's going on where's the announcement from hainan. There reply was " we can only make a announcement once we see what aircraft we can use on this specific route, dates, times, availability of crew.
So I feel they are doing the final touch ups to make the announcement.
:dirol: :good:

Re: Hainain airlines

Ive read on another forum that MAG and Hainan were about to shake hands on the Man route but heard that Hainan were looking at starting LGW route. So now MAG are trying to do a double deal with Hainan for MAN and STN routes but LGW are objecting .So that is the hold up on the announcement of the Man flights. Dont know if true anyone know ?

Re: Hainain airlines

Its partly true.

Basically, MAG have a double deal for Hainan to start both MAN and STN. They are to be announced at the same time for maximum media exposure.

However, LGW also want Hainan now Air China have pulled out, and, keep offering better deals causing MAG to revise theirs.

Apparently it has now all been sorted and will be announced in November. The MAN flights were always safe no matter which London airport Hainan chose, but, it was all about the double announcement for MAG.

But how we sure of it being announced In November user001?

Re: Hainain airlines

It seems to me that it is all maybe in this article by Hainan. Have they sorted it all out now and due to start. Or was the speech by George Osborne just him jumping the gun ?. We will have to wait and see i guess.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
