Great BUT we really need the advertising in the States as well. A small uptake in originating traffic from the US could make a massive difference!

Agreed. USA originating traffic is going to become increasingly important if current trends continue.

Good for us then that Manchester is named in SF's best places to travel, has had multiple blogs on VS aimed towards US passengers and Wales is lonely planet's 'top region' for 2017 so it looks good but the publicity needs to grow

Wonder if they're able to "accidentally" (off course!) put some promo material in the 3 Escape Lounges that they operate in the States? Unfortunately, they are not in the major destinations but still worth a shot. They're at

Well adverts at OAK and BDL may attract passengers to use the direct services at SFO and BOS/PVD respectively.

This social media drive is interesting. Clearly a number of Routes are marginal and perhaps there is a drive to stimulate demand to make what is there less maginal and more established prior to USPC (which will hopefully stimulate more latend demand).

Thomas Cook are also heavily promoting USA on social media with an easy to enter competition featuring name/email. Dead easy.

This is in contrast to the airport who are also running a competition for free flights but on a personal level I cannot get past the email address.

Have used 3 different nomenclatures, have keyed in each character individually, have cut and paste all to no avail.

An email to customer service was sent a week ago. I

It's still not working!

I think the target market for the adverts is correct. MANs US network carries a few marginal routes, and if S17 can improve the performance of those routes so they are more established that would help.

Hopefully USPC will make a difference, but in the meantime advertisement has to shoulder the load.

MAN are advertising their US routes on local radio across the Midlands. I've only heard them on Heart FM but they may also be on others.

I think this shows that: (1) some of the routes need to perform better if they are to not go the way of IAD: and (2) MAN are doing what they can to support them so that they grow.

They are also advertising the Chinese flights on radio down here and it appears as if it's not just Heart FM, Free Radio are also carrying them.
