Can't see Wizz adding much given theay have severe problems with their Pratt & Witney powered Airbses with 47 out of service in June.
They have stated growth will be flat at best for 2years.

ahhh found it, a short series of flights from the 20th June 2021 to the 29th September 2021! - 11 flights in total! 🫣

Screenshot-2024-09-02-213850.png

so the load factor for the RIga flights was 50.83%

arrivals 11 flights, number of seats 2028, departures 11 flights, number of seat 2028

total available seats :- 4056 , seats filled:- 2062 (per CAA), average passengers per flight:- 93.7

I appreciate 2021 was during covid times, but based on these figures, do we think there is demand for Riga flights now?

Not sure about next summer but when talking about growth for the future Tom did mention Wizz, amongst others.

Hopefully once the aircraft issues are sorted we may start seeing some increases again.
If they do increase routes then I would expect an increase on Budapest and Bucharest.
In terms of new routes probably Tirana(Even though it’s been dropped)
Krakow
Katowice
Warsaw
Gdnask
Wroclaw

I think that should be a priority for the airport to bring them routes back

Krakow still has Jet2 and Ryanair with easyjet starting in Nov. It's a popular place but 4 airlines may be a step too far?

100% agree with the others and I'd also add Riga and Cluj-Napoca.

I think we may be waiting a year or two before we see anything though.

Ryanair serving daily which I hope they continue
Jet2 serving 2 weekly
EasyJet 2 weekly seasonal only

So wizz maybe given a slot after March next year however very unlikely

Cluj Napoca
Riga
Vilnius?

Hiya.
Now Wizz air plan to expand from Poland and Warsaw next year.
Ok yeah aircraft issues are the main issue but if they plan to expand and add aircraft aircraft from bases then surely we could be interested even though their an LCA

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
