Vueling are starting 3x weekly flights to Rennes from November 29.

Posters on another forum have suggested this is just to "baby-sit" the slots for another IAG carrier, since the start date, aircraft and frequency seem entirely inappropriate for this route.

Vueling will start Gatwick-Alicante in April.
