Think it's a case of wait until you actually see the aircraft takeoff with Norwegian! They are linked with everywhere lately!

Qatar Airways will launch 10 new routes so if they continue to expand in the UK Belfast should be a contender.

A couple of years ago the Qatar UK chief said his airline was looking to expand here. He mentioned a South West route (which we now know is CWL), Ireland (without specifying North or South but Dublin was later announced) and Gatwick (still unserved by Qatar).

Would there be enough for BFS without diluting the Qatar Dublin yield?

Dublin does support Qatar Emirates and Etihad so I would imagine they'd be after Emirates and Etihad passengers and many passengers that transfer via LHR and AMS.
Also they would be able to say they are the only Gulf region airline that flies to all 5 capitals of the British Isles .

I'm not sure that any airline would be bothered too much about serving UK capitals if they believed it wasn't viable. Still, Qatar is to serve CWL with the potential dilution of its BHX route so perhaps they think they can coax passengers from other ME airlines rather than from themselves.
