Simon Calder reports the following:

By 2 April 2025, all international arrivals to the UK except British/Irish nationals must obtain a digital permit in advance. Rule even applies to passengers changing planes at Heathrow and remaining "airside".
Amsterdam, Paris CDG and Frankfurt delighted.

Friggin great, so I assume I will have to pay to come home! just because I have a Kongeriget Norge Pass(Norwegian Passport). I have dual nationality, but I have a feeling my British Passport has expired and I rarely travel on it - my Mom always said as a child, if you get taken hostage, they release the Scandinavians LOL, so I always normally travel on that passport. Brexit, the gift that keeps giving 🙄🤔

you don't need one if you have permission to live, work or study in the UK (including settled or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme).

Voters will never learn!

i am not clear, which people voted for it (i don't recall it being in any manifesto anyway) and are now affected by it?

US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand already have a similar pre authorisation to travel, it is now coming to the EU soon and Japan. I don't like it either but the UK appears to merely be following the crowd on this one as it becomes more common.

😂😂😂😜😜😜

Bit of an out the box one here, but has anyone noticed the sheer amount of thin high cloud thats been left due to high up vapor trails caused by aircraft? Today was a perfect example due to the at first clear and calm conditions, by mid afternoon literally the whole sky was vapor trail remains central! And all this thin white whispy cloud is mainly coming from aircraft through clear observation.
Im aware aircraft have always done this but just recently its crazy up there, also to note how cloudy has it been this year with so many layers of odd thin patchy cloud!
It is noticeable, any thoughts, change of fuel, more jets in the sky etc? And no I've not become a member of those who shall not be named haha

according to some people, you only need 1 day in each of the Yorkshire Dales, North Wales and Lake District "to have seen it all". Which is why its minibus tour number 3 this year of the Yorkshire Dales for me on 16th October. Different routes and different things to see each tour.
Apologies for any issues today, I was planning on updating the site but sadly something went wrong so the upgrade has been postponed. Apologies again for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your kind donation to our running costs Jenny.
I've done 2 minibus tours with Mountain Goat this week. Monday was North York Moors with over 600 photos and today High Adventure in the Lakes with 750. photos. Slightly snap happy.
I've asked Gareth Southgate for the winning lottery numbers. He said 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
