Winter 2016-2017

I read in another forum that Ryanair will be increasing its presence at Prestwick next winter with new routes to Barcelona (3 x weekly), Faro (2x weekly) and Malta (weekly). In addition Tenerife will increased from 3 x weekly to 4 x weekly.

It's good to see Ryanair expanding again at this airport having reduced its presence substantially a few years ago.

PIK could do with some good news as it's now down to just over 600,000 passengers per annum having been nearly 2.5 million about eight years ago.

Ryanair will resume Glasgow Prestwick to Gran Canaria from March 27th 2022.

Flights to be 2x weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays

Was working on some posts for my website and had to dig through ABZ, EDI, GLA & PIK Schedules.

For next summer 10 routes will operate (down 1 on this summer), but weekly departures are up from 41 to 42.

  1. Barcelona increases from 3 to 4 weekly
  2. Murcia increases from 2 to 3 weekly
  3. Tenerife increases from 6 to 7 weekly

Another couple of changes to report.

Alicante goes to 7 weekly from July thanks to Sunday being added with an Alicante-based aircraft.
Lauda returns on Thursday's Palma flights, which might have the latest departure time PIK has seen recently of 2110.

As a result, weekly departures up to 43

Another expected addition from August, in the form of a 3rd weekly ACE flight using an ACE based a/c

1850-2315 PIK-ACE FR6153 1410-1825 ACE-PIK FR6154

Unsure if it is a -800 or MAX as it currently shows as sold out on the app.

On sale now using a Boeing 737-800, taking the total number of weekly departures in August, September & October to 44, an increase of 3 on last year.

Ryanair appears to have removed the planned 3rd weekly Lanzarote flight, and had adjusted Faro from 5 to 4 weekly.

Weekly departures should still be above last year.

PIK-ALC reducing from 4 to 2 weekly in January
PIK-ACE reducing from 3 to 2 weekly in January
PIK-AGP reducing from 3 to 2 weekly in January
I believe Ryanair has culled a number of frequencies across its network in January.

Yeah in Scotland there is the 3 routes above and from what I can see at least 17 routes impacted from Edinburgh.

Glasgow remains unaffected and Aberdeen remains unserved by Ryanair during winter

Looking at the initial offering for S25 on the app, the following routes will operate

ALC - 7x week
BCN - 5x week (+1 on S24)
FAO - 4x week
LPA - 2x week
ACE - 3x week (+1 on S24)
AGP - 6x week (+1 on S24)
PMI - 6x week
PSA - 2x week
TFS - 2x week

RMU has not been loaded.

There is currently 5 departure slots available on the PIK based units, I expect RMU to use 3 of these, and given easyJet has not loaded GLA-MRS I think the PIK-MRS route from S23 might return

It turns out RMU will increase from 3 to 5 weekly next summer

according to some people, you only need 1 day in each of the Yorkshire Dales, North Wales and Lake District "to have seen it all". Which is why its minibus tour number 3 this year of the Yorkshire Dales for me on 16th October. Different routes and different things to see each tour.
Apologies for any issues today, I was planning on updating the site but sadly something went wrong so the upgrade has been postponed. Apologies again for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your kind donation to our running costs Jenny.
I've done 2 minibus tours with Mountain Goat this week. Monday was North York Moors with over 600 photos and today High Adventure in the Lakes with 750. photos. Slightly snap happy.
I've asked Gareth Southgate for the winning lottery numbers. He said 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
