The expansion continues tomorrow with the arrival of the fourth based aircraft.
Four Jet2 departures this morning.

00615 Faro
0930 Arrecife
1030 Las Palmas
1030 Tenerife South

I wonder what increases will happen @ BRS then @TheLocalYokel.

I hope more new routes for BRS. 7 Aircraft in its second operational summer is impressive. I can see another aircraft added if I am honest - or a larger aircraft that's leased providing larger capacity.

Theres at least one more aircraft planned - press release follows what was put on sale last week with the increases to frequencies I mentioned then plus a new route to chania and return of Malaga

without properly looking I’d say there’s going to be a second extra from July 2023 - the frequency increase would suggest at least that

How many aircraft in total would that be?

A possible 8 ? I make sat pm departures to Lpa , tfs ,fue , dlm , ant, ibz , pmi and rho for august 23 sat pm

What is Sat AM doing?

That PMI what time? Is their a mid morning REU/GRO flight after a very early morning flight to REU/GRO or IBZ/MAH?

There is an am and pm Palma service. There is also a lunchtime Innsbruck as well

Looking at the Palma timings and INN I would imagine the AC would do something like below:

AC1
PMI @ 0700 back 1300, back out in the Afternoon.

AC2
AM early morning back for 1100
INN 1155 1640 back
PMI at 1740.

Therefore reducing the need for 8 aircraft.

Looking at it it would appear some gaps in the schedule for AM - a large gap on AC 8 which could easily go to Greece & back.

Appears Dubrovnik, Almeria and Sicily are not on sale anymore.

If they do have 7/8 aircraft, can BRS accommodate them all? How many stands? I’d like to know the total based aircraft overnight with jet2 increase…
Impressive however as someone said for year 2 of operations

@forest1979 if Jet2 are happy to have some parked remote and tow/parked on a taxiway like they do in LBA, then I would imagine it's up to the airport to dictate how many they are willing to have.

Not sure of the overnight stand allocations - stands versus taken.

I'm sure @TheLocalYokel or other BRS fans/local F4A correspondents will be able to tell us.

There are currently 40 stands including the night stop stands. At a push if needed and with correct parking we can possibly accommodate 42/43. This could be increased by 2 as they are due to be constructed on the site of the old terminal building. The apron planners have actually done a fantastic job of utilising the space we have. Nothing to worry about just yet.

So how many are this year? Is it 7 for the summer?
I agree on the space at BRS - they have used well. Really hope they can push ahead with expansion plans.. the terminal feels full mid summer and it really needs some attention for more space..

Currently they have 4 based but I believe that increases to 6 for this year. And upto 8 in Summer 23.

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
