Twilight Check-In is ideal for customers staying at a hotel or who live near the airport as it saves valuable time the morning of your flight.
All customers need to do is check in online at least 24 hours before their flight*, then visit the Twilight check-in where they can drop their bags at the Jet2.com check-in desks between 3pm and 8pm the night before.
They can then arrive at the airport the following morning and head straight to security, bypassing check-in, giving them more time to sit back and relax before catching their Jet2.com flight.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “Jet2.com and Jet2holidays prides itself on giving customers a unique VIP experience from the very start of their holidays. Our Twilight Check-In is a smart and secure service and really adds to our customers overall holiday experience. We are delighted to be expanding it to Birmingham Airport, meaning customers can start their holiday with us luggage-free and breeze through the airport to catch their flight.”

*Only applicable to flights departing before 12 noon the following day. Other terms and conditions apply.

Budapest -
Served elsewhere in the network: Yes - from 4 bases. Neighbouring EMA, EDI LBA and MAN.
Competition: Yes from Wizzair - 3 weekly. Jet2 don't seem too bothered by that for Winter. (S19 figures)
Overall: Starts for W19. This is bound to continue into S20 just like KRK and PRG will do for this year.

Kefalonia -
Served elsewhere in the network:
Yes - from 6 bases. Neighbouring EMA, EDI, GLA, STN LBA and MAN.
Competition: Yes. Flybe with a charter to EFL. For S20 TCX 1 Weekly and TUI 2 Weekly. (They've put their S20 programme on sale)
**Is TUI extra EFL operated by Flybe?**
Overall: Launched their S19 programme with this in once weekly. Quietly dropped it - presumably wasn't returning the revenue that they require? Or Bed Space was limited at the EFL send. Definitely up there for them to try again. I'm surprised EFL isn't served from NCL.

Murcia - Corvera -
Served elsewhere in the network:
Yes - from 2 bases. LBA & MAN (the biggest bases). MJV used to be served from EDI and memory serves me correct NCL.
Competition: Yes. Ryanair with a 4 weekly service.
Overall: Jet2 don't shy away from competition. This would complete the mainland Spanish network for Jet2 - and i can see it working from BHX.

Nice -
Served elsewhere in the network:
Yes - from 3 bases. LBA STN & MAN.
Competition: No None.
Overall: I can see this been added to the network. 4 weekly probably. Out of interest what was ZB frequency on BHX NCE?

Just by two cents.

2020 timetable has been loaded:

The above 4 are loaded into the timetable.

BUD - continues from winter - 2 P/W - Monday & Friday
EFL - attempt 2 - 1 P/W on wednesdays
RMU - ***NEW*** 2 P/W - Monday & Thursdays
NCE - ***NEW*** 3 P/W- Monday, Friday & Saturdsys.

Noticeable increases DLM, AYT & TFS but will do analysis once back.

Many increases elsewhere!

Antalya and Dalaman are both 6 weekly - in S19 they will be 4 and 5 weekly respectively.
Burgas, Corfu, Dubrovnik, and Pisa go from 2 to 3 weekly
Chania, Izmir and Verona from 1 to 2 weekly
Lanzarote from 6 weekly to daily
Split is 2 weekly all summer instead of just July-August
Larnaca 3 to 4 weekly

Only bad news so far is no increase on Rome or Venice.

Venice goes 4x weekly throughout April but that seems to happen to facilitate a change of days.

Great to see Nice back finally and good to have some competition for Ryanair on Murcia.

There looks to be decreases to many of the sun routes but it's very early days and I am sure there are plenty of changes to come especially with the away based flights.

not all as good as initially thought.... a pretty mixed bag....

New Routes for Summer 2020 (+8 flights)

BUD - 2x weekly
EFL – 1x weekly
RMU – 2x weekly
NCE – 3x weekly

Winners for Summer 2020 (+10 flights)

AYT - 6x weekly (up from 5)
BOJ – 3x weekly (up from 2)
CFU – 3x weekly (up from 2)
CHQ – 2x weekly (up from 1)
ADB – 2x weekly (up from 1)
ACE – 7x weekly (up from 6)
LCA – 4x weekly (up from 3)
PSA – 3x weekly (up from 2)
VRN – 2x weekly (up from 1)

Losers for Summer 2020 (-10 flights)

ALC – 12x weekly (down from 13)
FAO – 12x weekly (down from 13)
IBZ – 7x weekly (down from 8)
PMI – 16x weekly (down from 19)
AGP – 11x weekly (down from 13)
MAH – 4x weekly (down from 5)
REU – 3x weekly (down from 4)

Suffice to say, very much far from final.... as jet2 don't tend to operate W Paterns, either some new routes coming or more frequency increases....

As it currently stands, the schedule has 174 flights a week, up from 166 in Summer 2019 (up 4.8% or 3,024 seats a week)

Some "oh not as good as first thought" feelings going on around here (generally) so i thought i would come with the analysis. I've started looking at STN, just quickly glanced over other stations to that have the timetable uploaded and ALL so far have shown growth for Turkey & Bulgaria. Christ, ADB is served from BFS (the smallest Jet2 base) and DLM gets x2 weekly services, AYT & DLM from STN get 9 weekly services. Why is this? Well we all know why but i will just point it out. BREXIT!

Both Bulgaria and Turkey are outside of the EU. And according to an article on Travel Weekly in January/February time (cannot quite remember which) it states that tour operators, travel agents and airlines are seeing strong growth in terms of bookings to these destinations. Jet2 have always followed what the market says (they pulled Egypt, Tunisia and reduced Turkey considerably very quick, a very reactive Market), this is what makes them so successful, and is why you are seeing the growth of these Markets. I think it is a good thing to look at your nearest base first to see what they are doing, but then to try and get a bigger picture view and you'll soon see that it is not all "doom and gloom" or "not as good as first thought".

So lets look at BHX a little deeper:

Increases:
AYT - Up from 5 p/w to 6 p/w
BOJ - Up from 2 p/w to 3 p/w
BUD - Continues at 2 p/w from Winter.
CFU - Up from 2 p/w to 3 p/w
CHQ - Up from 1 p/w to 2 p/w
DBV - Up from 2 p/w to 3 p/w
ADB - Up from 1 p/w to 2 p/w
EFL - **NEW** - 1 p/w
ACE - Up from 6 p/w to 7 p/w
RMU - **NEW** - 2 p/w
NCE - **NEW** - 3 p/w
PSA - Up from 2 p/w to 3 p/w
VRN - Up from 1 p/w to 2 p/w

Reduced:
ALC - Reduced by 1 to 13 p/w.
FAO - Reduced by 1 to 12 p/w.
IBZ - Reduced by 1 to 7 p/w.
PMI - Reduced by 3 to 16 p/w
AGP - Reduced by 2 to 11 p/w
MAH - Reduced by 1 to 4 p/w
REU - Reduced by 1 to 3 p/w
Could Jet2 be utilising a larger a/c on the routes to ensure same amount of seats are kept or the route is even grown but yield is better due to not having as many flights?

Overall:
2017 - 58 Flights P/W
2018 - 127 Flights P/W (118% Growth)
2019 - 166 Flights P/W (30% Growth)
2020 - 174 Fights P/W (4% Growth) - 44 Destinations making it 2 off the 2nd largest base MAN.

We are starting to see the stabilisation of growth and it becoming more organic, which is exactly how Jet2 started, slowly slowly catchy monkey. I suspect there will be some seat growth at BHX for the company in 2020 over net increase of flights per week as we all know, no orders at this moment in time for new aircraft. We are only in March, BHX operation will grow & once we have some stabilisation/firm plans for Brexit we may see some growth.

Document is attached. This has been built over last 3 years.

Sherburnflyer are you sure Manchester is second as I thought it overtook LBA a while back certainly on numbers of aircraft needed

Anywhere in Croatia? Zagreb?

With Jet2 most routes seem to be trialed at LBA and MAN and if they are successful they are expanded around other UK bases. They seem to not take many risks everything seems very secure. However BHX is very quickly catching up with number of routes.

From Mr Heapy

But Mr Heapy was confident the operator would be expanding its routes even further, with discussions now under way about its 2020 programme across the UK where it operates from nine different airports.

"It's one of our big bases with a massive catchment area and, if we are going to try new routes, Birmingham Airport is one of the key places we would try that from," he said.
