Middle East airline Jazeera Airlines which do a London Heathrow to Kuwait City route with A320neos are planning to end operations at the airport from January 6th. The last flight is planned to be today (5th January)

The reason behind this is believed to be Heavy operational charges where this airline is unfortunately not making the money.

Before the pandemic they operated into Gatwick - any idea if they're pulling out of London completely or switching back to Gatwick?
 
Blimey things must be tough if flights are stopping … I do realise costs will be high but it’s not often flights get pulled from the cash cow LHR

BA and Kuwait Airways both operate the route with wide body aircraft. Probably isn't the demand for 3 carriers on the route.

Air Tanzania are hoping to start flights to Heathrow, presumably with 787s -

Speaking to reporters in Dar es Salaam, on August 15, Air Tanzania Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Ladislaus Matindi said the national carrier would debut flights to Nigeria, Goma and Kinshasa N'Djili in the Democratic Republic of Congo and direct flights to London Heathrow next year.

 
Air Astana are increasing the number of flights in summer 2023 to five per week, with the route being Almaty-Aktau-LHR-Aktau-Almaty on an A321LR

 
Logan air have been operating this service to Heathrow (Daily) for months. Unless they are currently using slots leased temporarily from another airline, they potentially could use these slots to open a new route.
They were using slots leased from another airline. These would be their slots.
 
Kuwait Airways are increasing KWI-LHR from 12 to 14pw from June


 
South African Airways are hoping to restart JNB-LHR flights with their new A350s.

The joys of travel. Train from Edinburgh to Leeds is cancelled so having another night in Edinburgh and heading back in the morning!
Tbf Edinburgh isn't a bad city to be stuck in.
