I'm not too sure what you mean but, as Ray said, they hold 3 weekly (308 slots=daily, 44=1 weekly etc). That's all I know but it would be either PEK or PVG, unsure if Hainan still hold the rights to PEK-BHX.
What I mean is.How do we know it’s 3 weekly. That’s why I’m asking is there a way of calculating that.Rather do something that I like

A daily flight for the entire winter season would equal 308 slots -
154 days in the IATA winter season (29.Oct to 31.Mar) .

44 slots would equal 1 weekly
88 slots would equal 2 weekly
132 slots would equal 3 weekly

Et cetera

Of course, some airlines may have start dates slightly later but this gets you a good enough idea

What does dispensation allowance (5%) mean?

How we calculating it ?

One take-off or one landing requires one slot, therefore a once daily flight would require two slots per day or 14 per week. The season is 26 weeks so 132 slots for the whole season would work out 3x weekly. Of course routes can start mid season meaning the number of slots required may be spread over a shorter period of time.

The airline to most recently make a new application to the Pakistan CAA for UK flights was Serene Air. They got some A330s but their plans for the UK never materialised. According to people on another aviation forum, the leases on their A330s got them into financial difficulties.

I wish Air Sial well, but there’s a graveyard of failed attempts when it comes to direct flights from the UK to the Indian subcontinent.

It’s all about the 💷💷. A direct non stop service at the right price might just work , but I agree Darlo , it’s a BIG might . Hope your’re well mate .

How do we know they will be busy there is EK, SV, QR and to a degree TK who have flights to Pakistan via a Stopover. I look at it like this If I had to fly to Say Delhi and Air India weren't an option and say Air Red who I made up where but they flew on An A321-NEO Or old A330 I would rather fly EK A380 to DXB and then on to Delhi more reliable and More trustworthy. Pakistan's Aviation isn't really trustworthy with All the fake documents and safety mess.

Why can’t Jordan Aviation take over flights?

Jordan Aviation are a charter airline not a scheduled airline. They operate flights on behalf of other airlines.

When Jordan previously operated UK - Pakistan flights, PIA would have contracted them in to operate those flights.

With PIA facing financial difficulties, they just can't afford to pay another airline to operate any flights.

I’m baffled at the fact that Turkish airlines aren’t increasing their flights to 3 daily or increase in aircraft.
Or why can’t Istanbul Gocken airport open for operation in Birmingham

Passengers to Istanbul are already up by more than 30% so far this year vs 2019 with this coming winter seeing an additional 30-40% increase in capacity vs last winter.

Istanbul Gökçen would be served via Pegasus, which although would be good to have and will likely happen at some point, doesn't help with Pakistan much as Pegasus only serve Karachi and not Islamabad.

Passengers from BHX to IST peaked before the pandemic at just under 160,000 in a 12 month period. In the 12 months up to June 2023, passengers to Istanbul reached almost 190,000.

Turkish/Istanbul is quite frankly doing great.

according to some people, you only need 1 day in each of the Yorkshire Dales, North Wales and Lake District "to have seen it all". Which is why its minibus tour number 3 this year of the Yorkshire Dales for me on 16th October. Different routes and different things to see each tour.
Apologies for any issues today, I was planning on updating the site but sadly something went wrong so the upgrade has been postponed. Apologies again for any inconvenience caused.
