Oh dear. Right now they seem to be having as much luck as Wile E. Coyote...

This is truly desperate for Primera Air and i am sure that any right-minded person would have sympathy for them. I just hope this problem can be sorted out prior to the inaugural New York flight.

But contractually where do Primera Air stand? Have they contracted another airline to fly this route tomorrow? And, if so, is it not the contractual duty of this airline to ensure they have a serviceable aircraft ready at BHX tomorrow to fly to Newark?

The clock is ticking....

Wow who is paying for these 757s
I would be very surprised if Primera Air didn't have some clause with regard to late delivery of aircraft.
How this might work is another matter. For example the clause could state that in the event of late aircraft delivery, the aircraft manufacturer would source and supply a suitable wet leased aircraft - leaving Primera Air out of the decision of which aircraft is used (probably unlikely).
Another possibility is that the aircraft manufacturer would pay a set amount for each flight not undertaken with the late delivery, thus possibly limiting Primera Air's scope in finding a repalcement aircraft without partially funding it themselves.
Or, it could just be that Primera Air have taken the lowest cost bid to supply the aircraft.
We will never know the answer, or why Primera Air have continued to use what appears to be an unreliable aircraft.
I'll be glad when Primera Air receive the own aircraft and only then will we see just what type of service they are capable of.

Hi there Ray and all, is ii me or has the Newark New York flight now been rearranged later this year, because I swear that the flight was originally due to depart in May 2018, is this correct... Andyc

Great to see New York Newark on the departure board . I have missed it so much :)

Although it'll be better when Primera start using the A321NEO's for the route, there's a nice nostalgia that the last time BHX to EWR was operating regularly it was with a 757 and now its starting again with a 757.

I still find the idea of being on something as small as an A321 flying across the Atlantic rather strange.

Well I'm here waiting and people have checked in but can't see a national 757 and I've been here since 1pm unless it is parked round the back ? It's still operating as far as I can see ?

Well according to Fr24 it's still there.

I'd have thought that it would be on a stand by now preferably an airbridge one.

It was on stand 81 when I drove past a couple of hours ago.

If it's still there you'll only be able to see it from by the railway line.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
