Reports elsewhere Jet2 have bought 22 year old Boeing 757-200, G-ZAPX from Titan Airways, I understand it maybe parted out and used for spare parts even though she'll be youngest Boeing 757 in the fleet.

Now confirmed - registered G-LSAO

I suspect the is a very good reason why Boeing 757-200 G-LSAO (ex Titan G-ZAPX) was flown from Stansted to Kemble on Tuesday.

It's where planes normally go to either long term storage or die to be made into tin cans

A legal requirement one would think. They could have just kept G-ZAPX but don’t think Titan nor Jet2 would approve of that.

Planespotters.net Is indeed showing it has been purchased for spares. Perhaps it was more economical to do that than paint/refit for service entry, which helps keep existing frames flying for longer. Titan and Jet2 do seem to have a very good relationship so I am sure any deal suited both parties no end

Just as Jet2 is moving in the direction of Airbus so Titan is now an all Airbus fleet having previously being a Boeing operator. Seems that Boeings’s lack of a 757 replacement has let Airbus take that gap in the market market with the A321neo series.

100% for spares. As mentioned she’s slightly younger than the other birds but would require far too much work for EIS.

Slowly but surely she’ll be cannibalised much the same as AH, AG etc

TFS is 8/9 weekly isn't it? Double on a Friday all season but increases to 9/10 depending on time of year.
