Thanks LBASpotter, that is really useful. I cannot help thinking, having read the list, that we must surely have scope for more flights/seats on some routes, notably Paris, Rome (my sister uses this route and is less than happy at just 2 flights per week), Rhodes (only 1 per week to one of Greece's most popular islands??), & Prague. Presumably the new route to Izmir starts later in the summer?

To be fair, Rhodes 1 x weekly during April isn't too bad and increases to 3 weekly as the summer gets into full swing. Izmir and Bodrum, together with most of the Greek routes, don't get underway until May. I agree completely that routes such as Paris, Prague and Rome could easily justify higher frequencies (and have done so in the past).

Paris and perhaps Rome really need twice daily using smaller equipment to be really successful, but that is not Jet2's remit..... Flybe
(or whoever), ??

Didn't Jet2 hint at the possibility of smaller aircraft for their next aircraft order?

Here's hoping that's going to be the case.
Taking a wild guess i think the Boeing 737-MAX7, Airbus A220 or Embraer 195-E2 would be ideal aircraft candidates to firstly replace the Boeing 737-300 fleet based at LBA/EMA & BFS. Once that's done they could then look to possibly open up new city routes out NCL/BHX/GLA/EDI bases where the Boeing 737-800 might be a bit too big, compared to opening routes out of STN & MAN.

More specifically, I think the hint was aircraft from this side of the pond and quite frankly, I've lost my faith in in the 737MAX, at least for the time being.

Haha, Well the new Airbus A220 family is actually still made by Bombardier in Canada, even though it's marketed by Airbus.
Do Airbus actually offer the A318/319 aircraft as part of the NEo family? If so I've not seen much mentioned of it...

A poster on another forum has said new routes in 2020 will be Zadar and Preveza.

Will be interesting to see which airports get those routes as they're arguably more "niche" than the likes of BOJ/ADB/CHQ but are already flown by other carriers from Stansted and Manchester.

Regarding LS195, my son was on a stag trip returning on this flight. They were all hoping to get compensation for > 3hr delay but sadly for them Jet2 had them back at LBA 2 hours, 51 minutes after schedule!
Full marks to Jet2 for resolving a problem expeditiously, taking into account that a rescue aircraft G-CELY had to be sent from LBA. Good customer service!

Boeing 737-300, G-GDFL went tech in Faro on Saturday after arriving there operating the LS251 service from Leeds, I don't know reason whats wrong with her though.
But do know the Alicante based spare back up "international rescue" aircraft Boeing 737-800, G-GDFF was positioned out to pick up the stranded LS252 passengers and bring them back to Leeds arriving in early hours Sunday moring.
