Strangely enough Scottie, when I went into the link, 2019 gave pages for both January and February but when I tried to open January to compare, it insisted on still showing me February.

Incidentally, isn't the increase in Terminal pax 6.97% not 7.97%?

Ian your January Hong Kong are incorrect as there were 5 round trips that didn`t operate
so loads were just short of 320 per flight

I was going to suggest it was 4 round trips that did not operate as planned a few months ago. But you may be right.

If it was 4, then it would be 54 sectors and an A/L of 308 with a LF of 92% on the A359.

What a/c operated on the Muscat or did it vary during the month?

Yes I got the figures off the Manspotters site
Oman Air used more B788 but there were quite a few B789

Yes, the listing in the TAS magazine shows 26 return trips so the average load as Mullion states is just a fraction under 320.
Based on a A351 with 334 seats, that's a LF of 95.7%. Rather better than the 80% originally posted.

Manchester Statistics - February 2019

Introduction

Back in September2015 I decided that I should start to correlate statistics for Manchester and use 2005 as a reference point for historical data. My file now consists of 14 years of monthly figures and 486 destinations that have been served from Manchester over that period.

Destinations that are either new (no passengers since my records started in January 2005), or have not been served for a number of years - if the latter then the month and year of the last service is shown.

No new destinations were served in February 2019.

Million passenger routes (Rolling annual figures)

Amsterdam - 1,043,325 passengers
Dubai - This route has now dropped out of the target figure to be included.

The following domestic statistics are missing from the CAA report for February.

Belfast City shows a false figure of 67, in 2018 the numbers were 20,674.
Inverness has failed to report any passengers, in 2018 they had 3,947 passengers

Moving monthly and annual figures - based on CAA statistics/MAG statistics

Monthly passengers - 1,805,164 +7.05%

Monthly Movements - 13,226 +1.69%

The CAA figures for Belfast City as erroneous and those Inverness are missing.

CAA statistics for February are provisional.

After Easyjet has reported sales for UK airports well down and most tour operators say the same
are airports in UK going to take a big hit this summer?

Very possibly. There have certainly been some very compelling fare offers available to those who are inclined to make a booking. I've made afew reservations for myself already. Worth a look, either for a main holiday or for an extra short break. On some routes you could even consider a daytrip.

Of course, whilst this is great for us travellers it is not good news for the airlines. Consolidations could follow if bookings don't improve. And Summer '18 was a tough slog for summer sun operators with Indian Summer conditions in the UK and the distraction of a World Cup encouraging customers to holiday close to home. If yields and booking volumes fall further from that level it isn't good.

I'm getting confused here, what detail is posted hear and what is posted in CAA "Passenger figures" thread?

This was originally a news story not a dedicated thread for passenger numbers.
