A400M ZM421 has now nipped off to Ottawa departed at 10:16.

Thanks as ever to Ian's blog for the info.

ZM421 due back in at 21:16 from Halifax having departed to Ottawa on Saturday certainly getting around and joins ZM415 as a night stopper. The Elmdon site looking busy today with a few larger types including a 737BBJ 9H-BLF in from Cancun and the Armenian government A319 from Heraklion along with the smaller stuff and the regular freight traffic including the Lufthansa A321F tonight on its regular weekdays FRA-BHX- DUB-FRA run.

Due to the runway repairs at Brize Norton assume the Bahrain Airforce C130J coming here today?
Strangely, FR24 has it listed as am Oman Air Force Bell 429 GlobalRanger (helicopter) due at 17:36. C130 far more likely, but even that needs to get a move on to get to BHX on time.

C130J can transport helicopters, maybe carrying one? not sure the Bahrainis and Oman are that co-operative at the moment to transport each others hardware though. If anything does turn up will be an interesting Acft for BHX though

Interesting flight planning and some ad hoc adjustments for ZM 415 just landing on 33. ( courtesy of FL24)

The military currently on the move with A400 ZM415 currently over Bath due back at BHX later and the Bahrain C130J.departed earlier this afternoon to Reykjavik

Further to the previous post I traced ZM415's route today out of interest.Departing BHX headed NE out over the Wash over the the North Sea did various circuits and manoeuvres then headed SW down over Somerset turned towards the south coast turned again near Bridport heading towards Birmingham making a few circuits or touch and goes at Fairford on the way before landing back at its new home (temporary) at BHX just about a 4hr flight time in all.

Busy little 🐝

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
