Cheers for the welcome, I'm assuming it would still need a place to park so I'm guessing cancelled for today.
I'm not sure. Ian said that it was originally due to stay at STN for 6 days -

Was due to stay at STN for 6 days and only arrived this am so maybe at BHX for parking for a few days.
I don't know how much traffic STN will receive for the Queen's funeral (Air Force One and support aircraft are a possibility), so maybe HL8508 was being moved to provide space. Or, maybe there is no longer any need to move it.

I know I’ll probably get flamed for this but is there any chance that the movements can just get posted without the cryptic teasing. Most other airports, I see people just post what’s due, even private flights, yet whenever I view this page it’s just cryptic ‘I know something you don’t know’ style posts. It’s irksome and tiresome.

If most other airports get advanced listing of interesting movements without issues of privacy or embargoes, I can’t see why BHX would be a special case with its ‘need to know’ crypticness.

Sorry if it offends but this whole ‘I know something but I’m not going to tell you’ drives me mad. It’s not actually a heads up if you, well, don’t actually give the heads up.

I fully understand, that in cases of commercially or security sensitive flights, then information should be restricted or not given at all. For my own part, when I do find information (usually from FR24 - information in the public domain). I always try to give 'Airline', 'Aircraft type', 'Registration', 'Flight number', 'Origin' and 'ETA'. If departure information is available, I always try and include the same information as above (with 'Destination' replacing 'Origin' and 'ETD' replacing 'ETA'). Sadly. I no longer have the contacts at BHX that I used to have, so my access to information is limited.

I always release information as soon as I can, I still have excellent contacts at BHX as would not want to compromise them in any way.

2-TSSA B762 also due tomorrow at 0830 also from STN for parking.

Next week may see some interesting movements too which a certain airfield up the M6 may be gifting to us :)

Remember that certain airfield has nearly 100 based aircraft of its own and we have already had a B748 and flights are still at
virtually full summer flow so very busy with approx 275 arrivals

Are all these Movements due to the Queens Funeral and is it Manchester or LHR giving us the extra aircraft

A mix variety of EMA , LHR and STN. I think all are related to busy airspace , parking and the queens funeral. Garunteed you wouldn't see these types of movements otherwise unfortunately.

Certainly, LHR are stating that there will be a 40% reduction in arrivals and departures between 13:45 and 20:00 on Monday 19th.

I can understand that STN will also be very busy and require possible re-location of aircraft, but EMA surprises me.

Now showing on FR24, due at 08:43.

EMA sounds right given the layout of the aerodrome, parking space a plenty for larger aircraft when freight activities are quiet. Also, as a MAG site, it fits with any Stansted and Manchester operations.

If BHX gets anything, all the better for its rarity!

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
