Manchester sees 3 A330 air tankers at Manchester this Summer. 1 of them will work for Tui. The other 2 for Jet2.

Does anyone know which short haul routes TUI will use their Dreamliner on from Manchester?

I am going to Marbella in May so flying to Malaga...at the moment the TUI app shows 767 for both ways...I'm preying this doesn't change. It's been 20 years since my last 767 flight and probably my last.

My friend was due to fly from Manchester to Tenerife tomorrow. But they received the following email this morning from TUI.

Now they're rebooked to fly with Ryanair from LBA.

Does TUI self handle at Manchester?

As Paull says unlikely as I'm sure Jet2 self handle at MAN. Just for a comparison we arrived back at BHX in with April TUI from Montego Bay and waited 40 minutes for the airbrdge to be connected. The cabin crew said waiting for Swissport and also said in conversation that Jet2 always get priority I explained they self handle!

A couple of weeks ago we flew flight only with Jet2 on arrival steps and bus awaiting, bussed to immigration through BHX in around 30 minutes, we were hand baggage only but the hold luggage for others was already coming off the carasols.

Amazing what you can achieve if you have as much control over your business as possible.

To be clear this is not knocking MAN in anyway just two single experiences with different airlines having different policies.

P.S. both flights were late arriving at BHX, TUI 2hrs, Jet2 a bit less both saying due to security delays in Birmingham on the outbounds.

Attached is an article from Lancs Live concerning BY 216 a 763 G-OBYK which was due to fly to Boa Vista on 27 June from MAN. It returned after there was a problem with one of the engines. Typical reporting by a REACH publication I would add. Link to the article here https://www.msn.com/en-gb/travel/ne...7397d6f4cfdb8e9a33306f11037&ocid=winp2sv1plus.

I believe the 763 involved has now gone to St Athan to retire (not confirmed)! Anyone more info?

It seems very knee jerk reaction. That would definitely ruin the plans for summer if they were to retire this jet and dramatically.

I hope TUI have a long ol’ look at their S23 programme. What TUI also need is an aircraft order to assist with expansion in their most profitable of markets - U.K.

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.

Well over 4 million steps taken this year already. And about 12,500 photos.
The joys of travel. Train from Edinburgh to Leeds is cancelled so having another night in Edinburgh and heading back in the morning!
Tbf Edinburgh isn't a bad city to be stuck in.
