Like Jet2, Tui are going for Thomas Cook's main Turkish destinations - Antalya and Dalaman both showing 14 weekly flights next summer. Hurghada up to 5 weekly, plus probably quite a few places with the odd additional flight.

So we've seen now the reactions of the package holiday operators to Thomas Cook's demise. Will anyone else do anything on short haul? Long haul Tui have added a handful of flights, so it's all on Virgin now to determine how much will be lost.

TUI are to launch Manchester - Dubai Al Maktoum as a scheduled route in Winter 2020. Previously the destination had been charter only.

Between 15 December 2020 and 10 March 2020, 1x weekly flight will operate:
MAN 2230-0940+1 DWC (Tue)
DWC 1140-1555 MAN (Wed)

Sharm el Sheikh will be twice weekly from 16th February, increasing to three weekly in May.

For S20 there is a planned increase from 14 to 20 based aircraft, new B787-9 on long-haul five days per
week that was standby a/c in S19, short-haul B787-8 goes away but five narrow
bodies come in. Cayo Coco is new and Marsa Alam continues from W19, Venice is cancelled. Seat growth currently +44% vs S19 which equates to 765,682 (give or take a thousand)

Does anyone know what the TUI base sizes are for next year? Top 5 or 6? Interesting to know given TC has gone and ongoing max issues.

2 more to follow by end July

Tour operator giant Tui has revealed details of a limited programme of summer holidays in preparation for when government advice not to travel is lifted.
The firm says it is “ready to take Brits on holiday again”.
Eight destinations are in line for a return on July 11 in Greece, the Balearics and the Canaries with flights operating from three UK airports.
Tui plans to add more flights and destinations by the end of July to offer a total of 19 destinations from five UK airports, subject to Government advice.

Just been checking the Manchester arrivals pages for tomorrow (11th July) and, at this moment in time, it is not showing any TUI flights at all.

I'll keep an eye on tomorrows movements, however I will be travelling until mid-afternoon.
