I notice there is talk on the Eastern thread about the "new" Flybe, hence I thought it may be better to start a new thread so as to separate it.

New Flybe have just registered there first aircraft- Dash 8-400 G-CLXC formerly OE-LGA of Austrian Airlines.

There is specualtion on what routes the new airline will operate but I would think Leeds will definitely be in their thoughts.

If there like everyone else leeds wont be in their thoughts! what made you think that?

LBA with its big catchment area would be perfect for a new regional airline ( thinking capital size operation) some uk routes and a few european routes to start with, but once again this will never happen until LBA has a better terminal and infrastructure!

I wonder if they’ll re look at DSA as well
That would be high risk given the track record of most airlines at DSA. Only Wizz and Tui have really been successful over the longer term. They need to ensure this time that they operate where they will make money.

Only place a second coming of Flybe would look with minimal aircraft would be Birmingham or Manchester and one of the big two Scottish airports flying to destinations they know would work.

I’m hearing rumours that DSA is now appearing in the Ryanair app. No destinations shown however.
