OAN 19-2019 MAN-TP 2nd PHASE OF HV CABLE INSTALLATION FROM NORTH ROAD TO STAND 211

1.0 SUMMARY
1.1 As part of the MAN-TP Terminal 2 (T2) extension, a three-day programme of works will be carried out to complete the installation of high voltage (HV) cables along the T2 apron front from North Road to Stand 211. This will involve some stand closures or restrictions.
2.0 PROGRAMME
2.1 Overall; from Tuesday 12th March to Thursday 14th March 2019, with a contingency day, 15th March, for any delays incurred.

Times may be reviewed by the ADM and Airfield Control after first wave. Stands may be reopened whilst the work is ongoing, and pits have been barriered, following an Airfield Operations inspection.
2.4 The works will originate landside in R&M’s work site and exit the airfield on Stand 211.
3.0 SCOPE & LOCATION OF WORKS
3.1 Overall the work comprises of the following:
• Barrier pit.
• The removal and replacement of existing cable chamber lids.
• Excavation in the soft next to Stand 101.
• Removal of beams for cable access from joint pits.
• Drain pit with a gully sucker where necessary.
• Connection of draw ropes and pull through HV cable using a winch.
• Cable jointing in pits.
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 As listed in paragraphs 2.2 and 2.3
4.2 Some GSE may need to be moved to facilitate access to pits. The affected companies will be notified by the project manager on the day.
4.3 It may be necessary to divert the road system next to Stand 201 GSE area while the excavation into the soft is carried out. This will be delineated by big foot type cones.
5.0 LOW VISIBILITY OPERATIONS (LVO)
5.1. The work will have no effect on the airport’s ability to operate during periods of low visibility.
