As I tried to say in an earlier post #550 I think in trying to solve a relatively small problem personally I think more confusion has arisen but anyway hey-ho I'm just grateful for this site and for the work and commitment put in by Aviador and his team to make F4A available to everyone so I'll just get on with it as in the scheme of things lifes just to short.

Absolutely. I don't get why Wizz received this treatment yet every other airline and it's different AOC hasn't. Which is why I think we should merge Wizz back together or start separating the Ryanair (biggest example I can think of) in general airline thread and specific airports.

The first option for me. I’m thinking we should just keep a single thread for each airline brand (as opposed to company) on the Airline Forum. Much more user friendly. If we started a new thread every time Wizz Air or Ryanair started new subsidiaries, people might be deterred from posting news for fear of putting it in the wrong thread, or else the mods would have more work moving posts.

BBC News - Wizz Air perform worst for flight delays
Funny that the only airport the BBC don't bother to identify as having Wizz operations now is Leeds Bradford. No surprise there.
The period this relates to however it was DSA they flew into, a relatively quiet airport that apparently could do no wrong - so perhaps we should assume that all the flights out of DSA by Wizz operated on schedule?

I would love to know what their on-time performance was like at DSA.

The question is of course why? Is it entirely the airline’s fault, delays at some of the airports they use, staff shortages or just that it’s run on a shoestring and generally disorganised?

Part of the problem could be that they schedule 35 mins on the ground for 200+ people
Absolutely. Few, if any airports will be able to turn around one A321 in 35 minutes, let alone several arriving at once. That's not taking into account passengers who get lost, go to the loo, stay in the bar or whatever they do to delay boarding. Or the fact they seem to get quite a few disruptive passengers. Their schedule almost guarantees delays of 25 minutes, because generally it takes a good hour to turn the flights around.

Ryanair have now extended certain turn around at differing destinations/routes. For example 40 min turn around is as common as 25 mins. I’m not sure if there is method in their madness.

As others have alluded it it’s unfair given it was the first summer back after covid. Given this and other European governments and their brainless moronic politicians did everything they could to destroy aviation during covid I don’t think it’s a fair comparison.

I would say a good 45 minutes if you put commercial pressure on then @White Heather. Hour is a “nicety” and allows breathing space.
