And I understand they will be carrying extra underwing fuel tanks. At least that's what they are saying they are anyway!!!!
Sorry think we are all getting a bit too cynical here. Let's genuinely hope all does operate from July as planned now
Exactly as it will be something different to a now expanding variety of airlines/aircraft at LBA.

As of march 28th, 2024 Southwind Airlines has officially been banned from operating into the EU and includes the UK. So it’s looking unlikely the Antalya - Leeds charter flights will be happening unless the tour operator Holiday Best gets a replacement.

More likely 189 seats each way if it was a 737 800, and more if they were using a MAX, unless Southwind had their aircraft configured to a lower than normal capacity..
And we have to assume that if Jet2 and SunExpress have done their forward planning correctly they have planned for all their flights to be full anyway.

I am sure neither airline will turn away any opportunity to top up loads in any which way. Disappointing to lose the extra variety of Southwind but happy it will support the other two. Just think of the further opportunities once the terminal is done

But surely Jet2 and SunExpress will have planned on having full loads based on their forecasts before HolidayBests predicament was known about. Why would they have spare capacity available for topping up?

Because they will have had some available for sear only and that’s probably what they will happily release to Holiday Best for guaranteed sale/revenue. It may of course result in one or both of them increasing frequency to help compensate. The only loser here is Southwind

That will depend on them having spare aircraft and crew available and if so, LBA being the best yielding choice. Southwind had planned to operate from more UK airports than just LBA.

Their 3x Max 8’s show a configuration of 189 seats. Could be worse, if they’d intended to use their 777-300 (in my dreams) they would have had 550 seats to find. Sounds a bit cramped to me!

Of course that is all very relevant but we are discussing LBA specifically here. Jet2 do usually keep an aircraft spare at LBA so might do something. Of course it also depends on how the Turkish market holds up as a whole this year too. The one positive here though is that Holiday Best haven't pulled things altogether and have sourced alternative capacity

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
