Could someone explain the enforcement process please. Does the council simply issue a penalty charge (similar to a parking charge) and then expect LBA to either pay or appeal. If so who hears the appeal? Or is it a court case where the evidence is presented before magistrates. Or something else?

Yes wasting money like on that pointless path there constructing up the side of the ring road between rodley and owlcoats, causing traffic misery!
The irony as they have chopped down hundreds of trees to build that new cycle lane that nobody will use. What they should be doing is duelling that stretch of road and building a dedicated footpath over the canel and river. #LeedsCityClowncil

I am happy to stand corrected but if there is no appeal and the Council can prove that there is a breach, then they can take the issue to Court for enforcement - not sure which Court but initially low level, where a fine of £2500 can be issued by the Court for that and any subsequent non compliance.

The whole thing is degenerating into farce thanks to LCC who seem to have taken their ball home like a spoilt seven year old ever since LBA announced they were appealing the CLEUD decisions. As above I would expect LBA to continue as they are now using their interpretation of the restrictions and let the legalities play out.
On the face of the information shared on here and the scheduled movements, it would seem that the airport is already compliant with no QC1 departures between 23.00 and 07.00. (733 is apparently QC 0.5 on departure). I must be missing something somewhere - or are LCC really that daft???

I don’t think it’s coincidence that LCC have decided to take enforcement action shortly after LBA announced they would appeal. Odd how a year ago such action was declared not to be in the public interest because of the costs involved and now suddenly it is. I suspect some face saving and back covering going on. Meanwhile the potholes in Leeds continue not to be repaired but hey, it’s only Council Tax payers money.
It would be very interesting I am sure if there was a freedom of information request for all communications between they who shall not be named and their associates and LCC/relevant Councillors. I bet that there is a tale to tell there!!

Is it a cycle lane or a path there constructing between rodley rb and owlcoats? Hard to tell atm,
Appears to be an extra lane there adding in from horsforth rb to rodley rb from what i can see which is one positive, the whole outer ring road needs to be a least a dual carriageway! The space is there.

YEP have posted an article re the night flight breaches with a lot of people reacting / laughing. The comments which there is a lot are mainly supporting the airport which is great to see. Just a tiny minority of losers that scream and shout because they bought a house near an airport ha.. go protest DSA trying to reopen.. go protest MAN expanding.. go protest something useful. Bunch of idiots

I’d urge people to write to their local councillors and make their views know. These people need holding to account for their actions…..

I agree, but I bet if you ask in 2 weeks who has made the effort I think you will be lucky to get any positive responses.

So on average around 25 non compliant aircraft a year over the last 11 years. All this not being able to get to sleep or being woken up by an endless stream of noisy aircraft is just made up nonsense by NIMBYs claiming to be concerned environmentalists. They make more noise than the aircraft but unlike the airport they serve no useful purpose other than to waste taxpayer’s money with their constant bitching (if I can use that word) to the authorities.

These flights seem to be a bit of a distraction. An average of only about 27 a year.
Very very dillusional the lot of them. Think there are far more important things going on the world and they should actually be very very thankful that the worst thing they have to worry about is the odd (and I mean odd) noisy aeroplane
This is presumably a separate issue to the 747 movements that the council also claim to have been outside the quota limits last year.

according to some people, you only need 1 day in each of the Yorkshire Dales, North Wales and Lake District "to have seen it all". Which is why its minibus tour number 3 this year of the Yorkshire Dales for me on 16th October. Different routes and different things to see each tour.
Apologies for any issues today, I was planning on updating the site but sadly something went wrong so the upgrade has been postponed. Apologies again for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your kind donation to our running costs Jenny.
I've done 2 minibus tours with Mountain Goat this week. Monday was North York Moors with over 600 photos and today High Adventure in the Lakes with 750. photos. Slightly snap happy.
I've asked Gareth Southgate for the winning lottery numbers. He said 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
