In respect of LBAREGEN Phase 2, do we know when the contractor will be announced? Presumably Farrans will have tendered?
No information given by LBA to the Consultative Committee but the preliminary works are due to start in February so it can't be long.

The exterior cladding on the new building doesn't seem to have progressed much, if at all, in the last week or so, at least not landside. Maybe more progress on the elevation overlooking the apron?

No cladding visible airside yet. Roofing safety nets are slowly coming down but most activity seems to be occuring on the lowest level atm. Seeing more temporary lighting going in. More concrete being pumped to departures floor today

I think it is fair to say the Project Managers and Contractor knows what they are doing so as long as work continues apace then it doesn't really matter what work is being done right now. I suppose the key will be that as long as they can work predominantly inside through the winter months it will mean no delays to opening

It will look even more impressive once that awful bus shelter is removed as it takes up a little of the view, but yes it looks grand, exciting times!
Defo agree with that. As well as looking unsightly, it blocks the view looking out across the ramp. Hopefully we'll get some nice views across the airfield when it's finished.

Perhaps Blue Sky Aviation should also do a live feed from inside the new Terminal, especially through winter. That's if departing pax don't get a first hand view of windy days. Foggy days they will be ok as they won't be able to see the runway!

Joking aside, I agree this has to provide some amazing views, which in the main will be completely uneventful

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.

Well over 4 million steps taken this year already. And about 12,500 photos.
The joys of travel. Train from Edinburgh to Leeds is cancelled so having another night in Edinburgh and heading back in the morning!
Tbf Edinburgh isn't a bad city to be stuck in.
A week off work done which resulted in 6 day trips , 50 miles walked and only 2500 photos, Going to work is more of a holiday as I tended to be out of my flat an hour earlies in my week off and back for after 8pm
