Is that a free shuttle or just a service bus?

Ive been a few times and dont remember a shuttle. I asked at the info desk about how to get into the city but they just said the service bus (which goes to the other side of the town- not sure if it stops near the old town or not) or a taxi, but they seem to have a preferred taxi company. We struggled to get an Uber, they were available on the app but when you requested a pick up they started haggling or simply declined.


No big deal then.

It was quite some time ago so maybe there isn't one now

Are we talking about buses from BTS into Bratislava or coaches from VIE to Bratislava?

Seems to me its cheaper all round to fly Ryanair direct to BTS to visit the markwts there and if you feel the need get the Flix bus (coach) from the old town bus station to Vienna.

The Flix bus goes into 2 different termini in Vienna but stops at the airport in both directions I believe.

If you fly into VIE and want to get into Vienna, dont take the CAT its very expensive, better to get the standard train which is almost as fast.

Also public transport in Vienna is very cheap (the only thing that is) provided you buy a pass.

It's a coach service from the airport. I think it's about 8€ each way.

Thought id add this to the jet2 room as it may be of interest, but one of my customers who attends college was fortunate to attend a meeting with a lady from jet2 who appears to be high up in management, she was saying the airline is looking to travel further afield from its current destinations in the not too distant future. One to watch id say!

Egypt is a no go area at the moment. It's too hit & miss.

I thought it was Balkan Holidays using Jet2 aircraft. I may have got this wrong.

Just found this: Jet2 Saturdays from Feb. Still showing as new destination on LBA website, but unless its me, its not bookable on the Balkan website.
