Although every other aircraft got in presumably the crew did not want to risk a missed approach at LBA which would have made the fuel situation more serious.
I think that in any case, the flight returned to LBA after picking up fuel? It was certainly showing on the FR24 arrivals with the normal flight number and inbound from NCL.

That's the problem with ACE - it's so performance limited with the short(ish) runway and more importantly relatively high terrain on departure. Even if you want to take extra fuel because the weather in Leeds is marginal, you aren't able to as you wouldn't be able to depart if you did!

Sounds familiar! A bit like LBA then.

It seems that flight was never going to land at Leeds yesterday irrespective of weather if a single go around left it so short of fuel it couldn't take that chance, because as we all know, a go around can happen even in good conditions for various reasons .

I wonder how they manage when flying to Scottish airports.

Maybe a few delays getting passengers off the planes this afternoon. Mrs just back from Belfast and bus crashed smashing a side window! So no doubt that will be taken out of action
I was watching for a while and there were some short delays after landing, before moving on to stand . The remote stands that would require a bus weren't being used and aircraft were waiting 5-10 minutes for a stand in front of the terminal /extension . Nothing major though and I only saw 2 arrivals having to wait .

according to some people, you only need 1 day in each of the Yorkshire Dales, North Wales and Lake District "to have seen it all". Which is why its minibus tour number 3 this year of the Yorkshire Dales for me on 16th October. Different routes and different things to see each tour.
Apologies for any issues today, I was planning on updating the site but sadly something went wrong so the upgrade has been postponed. Apologies again for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your kind donation to our running costs Jenny.
I've done 2 minibus tours with Mountain Goat this week. Monday was North York Moors with over 600 photos and today High Adventure in the Lakes with 750. photos. Slightly snap happy.
I've asked Gareth Southgate for the winning lottery numbers. He said 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
