Personally think they have/are run(ning) these 2 to 3 years too long. That said Jet2 will be far more aware of just how "sound" the 300s are overall

Obviously these aircraft still have many flying hours left. Some seem to be reliable, others not so. FO was troublesome as soon as it came back from it's C check. Silly me thought these checks were like a very major service so they should be better after than before. Seems not!Personally think they have/are run(ning) these 2 to 3 years too long. 2029!!2027 cannot come soon enough.
2029!!
Every cloud has a silver lining......Saying that I’m all for keeping those who can’t be named neighbours up counting through the night for another 5 summers. Lol
The continuing unreliability of the 300s must be a concern for Jet2, both from a cost and reputational point of view. It doesn’t look good with the numerous technical problems and passengers being severely delayed as a result.

Usual story with the ATR72'sBit blowy in the morning. Forecast 44mph at 0600 climbing to 51mph by 0900. Prevailing wind from the SW so right across Leed's runway. Calms down by 1200.
Another one has since diverted. They really arent suited to LBA.The Belfast got in, the Dublin went straight to Liverpool
Another in the hold now.Another one has since diverted. They really arent suited to LBA.
Landed!Another in the hold now.
Yes, wind dropped considerably and I watched it going in whilst washing the muck off my car. Perhaps they knew the wind was due to drop so decided to delay lending in the interests of their nervy passengers.Landed!
I bet the stats show they're not as bad as the picture you paint of them.Another one has since diverted. They really arent suited to LBA.
I agree, but other airports dont suffer with high crosswinds as frequently as Leeds doez.Well LBA is not the only airport to suffer from strong winds so I suspect the ATRs suffer similar performance limitations at other airports in very poor weather.
The reality is that most small regional aircraft struggle in high crosswinds, for obvious reasons, whether they are turbo prop or jet, ATR, Dash, or Embraer. The odds are any regional routes will be operated by aircraft types that don't like 40 knot crosswinds, whether at LBA, BHX or anywhere else. It's that type of aircraft or nothing so its pointless complaining about the ATR.because we are stuck with them and most alternatives are little or no better.I agree, but other airports dont suffer with high crosswinds as frequently as Leeds doez.
